Today has been all rainy and gray. I'm tired and my shoes still haven't dried up. I don't like autumn... :smallfrown:

Since when is there a month called Autumn?
I'm back online after a weekend of lots and lots of football.
I got to officiate three playoff games on Saturday, and then was chosen to officiate in the Junior 5-on-5 kitted championship game.
It was an awesome weekend, and I didn't get any comments that i'd made a fool of myself from the other officials gathered for the day, so I guess I did fairly well.
I did forget my phone charger, though, so the phone ran out of battery on the Saturday night, and I didn't get any photos, which I'm not too happy about.

Well, Americans usually call it Fall.

Re: KuReshtin's Vociferously Ruminating Harbinger of Random Banter - #147
I won't start a thread about it but would like to mention I just shook hands with the prince (heir to the throne) of our country and went for a lunch and a drink in three different stories of a private gentlemen's club for some kind of aviator society. For work. While being paid. This is a good day.

Well that pretty much makes everything else insignificant today. :smallsigh:
But that is awesome, Rakko. :3 How exactly did this happen?

Re: KuReshtin's Vociferously Ruminating Harbinger of Random Banter - #147
We made a website for international trade and apparently the prince is also the president of that organisation and he was happy, which made my big boss man so happy he took us on a tour of places non politicians usually do not enter. yay. Of course now I'm sick and almost sober again but still yay.

And here I was thinking that my seeing Stephen Fry later today would not be an eclipsable event itp. Clearly, I was wrong. :smalltongue:

Bah. I'd rather see Stephen Fry than some prince.

Re: KuReshtin's Vociferously Ruminating Harbinger of Random Banter - #147
Actually me too but we take what we can get. And unless Sir Fry wants a website from the Federal Government in the near future...
-
Re: KuReshtin's Vociferously Ruminating Harbinger of Random Banter - #147
Mr Fry is a true prince among men.
I'm off. I shall be back here later to regale all about how it went.

What? Why? How did you come to this low and debased state?

My dad loves to say that. Well, except his version begins "When in danger..." :smallamused:

You know, adults are always talking crap about kids shows, because they're violent and pointless. But you know what? Yu-gi-oh taught me how to add and subtract better then any math teacher ever did, and because of Pokemon, English is my best subject.
Don't know why I posted this, but I felt the need to post it.

Re: KuReshtin's Vociferously Ruminating Harbinger of Random Banter - #147
H...How did Pokemon make you better at English? :smallconfused:

Not something I've come across particularly.
Of course, some kids' shows are more pointless than others.
Also, what Coid said.

That happened to me yesterday. I squandered the day just sitting around, but so far not that different. I'm sort of disappointed. :smallfrown:
Also, from a combination of sick professors and oversleeping, I've not been to school for 2 days, and that worries me a lot. :smalleek:

You're supposed to do that kind of stuff more towards the end of the semester. Or the middle.

The prince next in line for the throne (heir apparent) can be called "crown prince". Similarly, the wife of a crown prince or a princess who is heir apparent in her own right would be called crown princess.

Because I use to be a terrible reader, not I'm reading way above level.
In other words, Pokemon made me learn to read/made reading fun.
