Where to buy ebooks?

So I was wondering whats a good place to buy ebooks for android and/or PC. I'm looking for two books, Left hand of Darkness and DownShadow.

I think Amazon and Apple together have the ebook market pretty much cornered. There's a couple smaller distributors, but they don't have what you're looking for.

Additionally, since Apple encrypts all books sold through them to work only with iOS software, you're pretty much stuck with Amazon.

I have both iBooks and Kindle on my iPad, and to be honest, I prefer Kindle. The Amazon selection is very similar to the iBooks selection (and cost) but I like the way it reads better. Plus as mentioned, if you don't have an iOS device, you will be better off with Amazon, and you can log in to it from any of your devices.

Don't forget that Barns and Noble and Google(through Google books)also sell e-books and various smaller companies offer them as well. I usually just google for the books' titles with .epub added in the search field.

That's a freeware ebook manager and converter if you want to buy say an epub or .lit format and put it on a Kindle... or a .mobi (kindle format) and make it something else like a pdf.
