Fun, I can understand. And yeah, it probably could if the Moff actually tried to. But if it did that every time...
I'm pretty sure a lot of the Nexus might be reduced to smoking rubble. And that wouldn't be any fun, would it? :smalltongue:
Well, cept maybe for the Moff.

No, I just think blowing **** up is fun. But maybe that's just me, hm?
-
Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
That too. But everything is better if there's revenge involved, even if it's revenge for things I imagined.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Vengeance against an imagined deed. Sounds like a legitimate motivation to me.
-
Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I can buy Moff deliberately cutting an atom only if he actually can see the atom he wants to cut.
But it would be hilarious if he dropped the knife and it cut through all the layers of castle town and fell through the air.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I always thought the knife worked based on intention... as in, it wouldn't cut through a scabbard I placed it in. But then, it wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong, would it? :smalltongue:
-
Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I figured you'd made it a butterfly knife to avoid that very problem.

Objects have a way of doing things like that, fitting how you want them to in some cases. Though I know that the Sword of the White King has this purple sheath designed to contain it specifically.

True. It is not canonically a butterfly knife, though. I added that detail myself. But then you run into the problem that butterfly knives are usually thrown, and throwing something that cuts through anything isn't a great idea. *shrug*

I'd post a picture of my soul piercing, but it's not forum safe. :smallamused:

Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Posting here to say hello! I'm coming up with a character that I'll post relatively soon. The idea I have is a kid from a modern day world like ours, but in it are a few wizards, one of which got the idea to cause havoc by bringing fairy tales into the world. As to how he got here, well, said wizard used a ton of his power to seal off the kid's home universe and everybody in it...except for the wizard and kid.
This kid was a part of an organization that acted like a cross between a private detective agency and a bounty hunter organization for the new world called "Ever After". This kid was pretty much the flagship guy for the organization.

Welcome to Nexus, top proprietors in insanity!
Character idea sounds good. Can't wait to see him in action.

Hi ITBI! Hang on, that doesn't work.
Hi Inyu! Okay, not happy with that either, because I don't know how to pronounce it.
Hi Beat! Hey, that works.

Also, I heavily edited my original response, but Kal's answer still fits.
Also, is anyone waiting for me to post anywhere? I don't mind pokes, as I have a mind like a steel sieve. :smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Ah right. Typo on my part. I meant Nalfeshnee, it's a type of demon, and it looks like this:

Because I'm unattentive, and I don't open spoilers most of the time and oh gods, I can't get it out of my head!

And why aren't you on msn anyway? *poke poke poke*

Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
*pokes back*
Because the main computer (the one with msn) broke down, like, just as I got back from New Zealand.
I'm posting from my mum's laptop.

Hehe, hello! Hello to Kid Kris also. I pronounce Inyu like the phrase "in you", with the accent on In. Yes, I realize that my name is a pun in that case. I intended it to be that way.

You're welcome Moff, you're welcome.
You know, I'm looking at the poker game forming in Trog's Tavern, and I'm thinking that it would be a great place to crash into when my character arrives in the Nexus. Would you guys be okay with that?

Re: [Nexus] OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
So I've been reading through SCP Foundation for fun and ideas, especially for KR (it seems she'd know about a few things logged over there) and all I can say is: :smalleek::eek:
Also it seems I'll have to revise my assessment of KR's abilities from 'KR can kill anything' to 'KR can kill anything... except for SCP-682.' :smalltongue:

I find that an oddly pathetic selection to be unable to kill. It's just a Wolverine-alike. Easily disposed of by say, a high level psyker (psion, etc) erasing it's brain functions rather than trying to destroy it physically.

I'm sure it would find some way to adapt. If it was that easy, SCP Foundation probably would have done it already. They have tried it already with various mind-affecting SCPs. SPC-682 was subdued for a while or completely immune, then absorbed whatever power was being used against it and turned it against Foundation agents. The thing has an almost memetic ability to stay alive.
