According to ED, Season 1 had 28 episodes, that's why S2 will have 24. Good news or bad news?
Also, I found Russian ad of Celestia's toy...
Why it has better (IMHO) animation than actual show?! :smalleek:

Except, there are shows that have such good animation.
I'd name one, but then, there would be shouts that one mention per thread is too much :P
Plus, nothing forbids the animators to insert such 4 seconds into show, they just need a tiny bit of extra effort. Really, if small Russian ad budget can manage it... :smalltongue:
Maybe this simply isn't the animation style they're going for. Just like Rich could draw a webcomic with fairly good art but he chooses to use stick figures instead.
Why would they do that though? What's the point of inserting four seconds of a different style of animation? That wouldn't be good, it'd be annoying and disorienting. Sort of like suddenly inserting the scene in "Batman and Robin" where Clooney pulls out the bat credit card.Quote:

Eh, I'm going to guess the commercial has better animations because to do that in the show would require them to step up the animations on EVERYTHING. That's when you start having problems. Better to stay within the style of the show and cut down on the quality of one or two things than it is to have those things feel out of place or burn massive amounts of time improving everything.
Then again they may step up the quality for season 2. Not sure if that would be a good thing or not, I've seen a few shows do that and the new animation just wasn't as good.
In unrelated news, this is hilariously awesome. (Most of the others are awesome in a somewhat less hilarious sense.)
:smallconfused:
That animation was smoother, but looked a little off to me ... and it's not just in Russia. We have that same commercial in Australia (or at least Toys R Us have it, I'm not sure it airs on TV).
I'd prefer the existing FiM animation any day of the week.
I don't know that I'd call the animation better. There's just more extraneous movement.
These are hilariously brilliant!
Doctor Whoof
My Little Avengers
Flutterhulk
This guy has put some serious effort and talent to work.
Because Russians never do anything cheap (except tractors and toothbrushes). Har har har. Besides a different company (or atleast diff team) probably makes the commercials, possibly even using different software. Not to mention that the animation is only 4 sec long.
And now for PMVs! (the best kind of MVs!)
This PMV is filled with collosal amounts of epic (and I mean COLLOSSAL!!!)
Also#2, Ponies discover wonders of prescription medicine! (Check out the Project Brony compilation in the recommended vids. It's like theatre only on the internets and with ponies!)
Awesome picture on 1st page! Keep up the good work!
Edit; Today, we are going to be talking about...
SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEE!
EDIT 2: I require more consistency...
Spike's amazinghorseponyunicorn!
I'd like to post a PMV, but it's... really vulgar. If you're curious, search youtube for WTF Collective ponies.
You I'm MC Nopony's Talking In This Thread
If I didn't know better I'd say things were dead
But I realize that my name is self refuting
Every time I rap and post I am diluting
The reason that I took on this name
So I guess I'll just stop rapping and play some vid'ya games.

Two things.
First, being somewhat bored, I ended up watching Bridle Gossip again. Then I come back to find you rhyming. Too many rhymes. :smalltongue:
Second, that game's fun. Should have expected someone would remake that with our favourite rainbowunicornpegasus. My favourite part's the explosions.
Yo I'm MC Encyclopedia Brown Spots the Flaw
And I noticed two problems with your post there, dawg
'Cause y'all said that there had been too many rhymes
and that's patently false, forever for all time
and the second probablem was, you'll never guess what it is
Rainbow Dash ain't no Unicorn, she's a Pegasus!
I don't know how many Soviet-Canadian dimensions would even have Friendship is Magic. Would even, y'know, create it.
Rarity and Big Mac shirts have arrived!
Two more pony shirts in the mail!
I WILL BE GARBED ENTIRELY IN PONY FOREVER
Multiple stations including the HUB and Cartoon Network show that talking Princess Celestia commercial in the U.S.
My initial guess would be that they give themselves the advertising, but there's a 'but':
As The Hub is half-owned by Discovery, and they (Discovery) are actually the ones in charge of ad sales, it's entirely possible that money has changed hands for this sort of thing.
Well, yes, it would be the right hand giving cash to the left hand, but weirder things have happened.
*Business major time!*
Money should change hands. Internal transfers of funds in business are very, very dangerous things. If Hasbro just adds all the money it gets to The Money Pile and doesn't let individual businesses have their own accounts and records, then it's impossible to tell which business sectors are failing and which are succeeding.
So YES, if Hasbro needs advertising space from the Hub, it *should* pay market rates for Hub advertising space from it's own marketing budget. That way, no one high up in Hasbro looks at some numbers and says, "Wait a minute, we're not selling any advertising time on the Hub - we may as well scrap the entire station."
When you're a vertically integrated company, each integrated business is a different industry. Care has to be taken to make sure Hasbro doesn't blur the lines between the TV industry and the toy manufacturing industry because these things have very different environments.
EDIT: It's not the right hand giving money to the left, it's providing a way to determine if we should cut off the deadbeat left hand who just gets by on the strength of the right.
The pony herd continues to spread!
ROBO-BRONIES!
I envision it as surprisingly good... for a different reason. It's government-mandated programming, but amazing in how it shows Premier Celestia's protégé, Comrade Sparkle, mingle in little Ponygrad, learning how the unity of the proletariat can defeat the arrogant bourgeois might of the Premier's exiled sister.
No, wait, it's the same, just with Soviet propaganda and replacing Hasbro with the Ministry of Diversionary Trinkets. :smalltongue:
