I apologise for misrepresenting you.
And sure, come and play.

That's it.
I just always thought it was a "how much" word. You can't say "I have fifteen data" in the same way you can't say "I have fifteen rice".

They might play more games, though. You could join them.
Also, 9 pages so fast? Is it just that it's a new thread? :smalltongue:

Nope, most pages were discussion of my bad spelled and grammar in the original title.
Also, I actually managed a word at scrabble nobody else knew, go figure.

I just did that! I didn't know it either. I fully expected to be told it wasn't a valid word.

Did you perchance intend to post that in RWA, Coid? Or are you just being confused/confusing?

<_< Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
...Personally, I blame the computer. It keeps having these weird seizures where it keeps scrolling up and down like it was trying to imitate vibration while the speakers emit an otherworldly noise whenever I get a text message or phone call.
Every. Single. Time.
Well, except when I turn the speakers off. Then it's about 50-50 whether the screen will have a seizure or not. Input from the mouse is still a bit screwy then though.:smallconfused:

Meat > Fruit > Vegetables
Yes?

Depends for what. Fruit > Vegetables I would in general agree with. However comparing meat to fruit... they're both good in different ways.
Also, I really like fruit.

Depends on the context.
In stirfry, I find it's actually Meat > Vegetables >/= Starches with fruit only entering into it with the sauce or rarely with pineapple being used as a stirfry "veggie."
Just eating them by themselves with no accompaniments, I actually generally prefer Fruit > Vegetables/Meat. Especially if it comes to raw, then meat would drop off the list due to being inedible to me when it is raw. :smallyuk:
Dunno why, but, well, fruit generally doesn't include itself in meals with me except as a garnish, being more of a snacking food. Hmm. I should probably work to include fruits in my regular meals to avoid dietary deficiencies come to think of it...:smalleek:

Re: The thread that started people arguing about the title too much before (RB #144)
Bah, stir-fry. It's so very greasy, and I am only a fan of grease in bacon-related contexts.
Bacon stir-fry, anyone?
It must have something to do with the Orient's food preparation; whenever I walk through Chinatown there's always lard all over the floor, and the residents and shop owners seem in their infinite wisdom to think that washing it with water will get rid of it.
But then, I'm biased against Chinatown, because I always thought that it would be just like a Chinese New Year's celebration, with gongs and the Oriental riff played upon my entrance. Can you imagine the crushing disappointment?
Funnily enough, I never heard the Oriental riff while I was in China, either.
Sometimes it would be really nice if the world would deign to satisfy my expectations...

See, early on I was iust coasting, playing small high-scoring words one of which I didn't actually know was a real word until I played it, and then you were suddenly all 'Helix'! 'Soiree'! 'Polenta'!
Excpet I was already over 100 points up. But still. Good words.
Disappointed I couldn't play 'Glut', but sadly 'Uc' is not a word.

That's because whoever is doing it for you is doing it wrong. :smalleek:
...And I'm now shuddering at the idea of lard stirfry while my computer decides again to scroll up and down at random. Ahh, there we go, only lasted 15 seconds this time.
And I could even type while it was happening. No text message appearing on my phone yet though...:smallconfused:

Possibly? I'm sure I was better at scrabble 10 months ago than I am now.

After a quick googling, it would seem that greasiness in stir fries is a common complaint, but you are probably right all the same.
I think think my complaints about Chinatown and China's failures to match my stupid stereotypes of them are valid though. :smalltongue:

I love it when I find something non-bed that surpasses a bed. Not being able to take it with you though, that's the worst part.
I'm the sort that likes a couch to sleep on save for the fact it's so horrible for one's skeletal system, so I'd probably be a futon-type myself.

Well, yes, they really do have an image and reputation to keep up, after all. :smallamused:
Stir fry is a skill, of that there's no doubt. It's basically a way to cook things with a minimal amount of oil and heat in one dish that's delicious as I've understood it though. I mean, there's going to be oil in the food, but I've never run into enough to be greasy except when accidentally adding too much sesame or peanut oil.
Tried it with olive oil once though, wasn't bad. Sort of a fan of peanut oil though. Not sure how canola oil does, come to think of it.... Pretty sure soybean oil is the one that's definitely subpar for it though. Or maybe that's just my family's bias against soybean oil.

It means exactly what it normally means. The article we are discussing happened first, then the second article happened.
This happened first:
The thread that started people arguing about the title too much
In this case though, we end the sentence with a preposition, which means what happens after is never explained, just implied. It is implied that something has changed and that people are no longer arguing about the title too much. In this instance, what exactly changed is never explained, but it can be inferred by the title itself having changed. Ultimately though, it's any time "before now".
A better example is:
Spoiler
Show
The person who washed their hands before eating food.
This happened first:
The person washed their hands
Then this happened:
The person ate food.
"Are they just going to eat that without washing their hands?"
"Nah, the person washed their hands before."
Before what?
Before now.
To be complete, the title should be:
The thread that started people arguing about the title too much before we changed it.
(Though I wouldn't normally write it exactly like that as it is a bit awkward.)

well actually I could, but I'm not stupid enough to go against the raw man, I'm not that stupid.
You can change it as you like. This was purely for gits and shiggles.
At any rate, I've changed it back, sans the apostrophe, feel free to do with it what you like.
