Mundane uses for a Frigid Ooze

So my Psion has managed to capture something that the DM calls a Frigid Ooze in her Handy Harversack. The question now is what sort of crazy things I can do with it?

My original purpose for capturing the beast was to have a portable refrigeration system, so I could keep ingredients and drinks cold. However, I am not sure how to do that without the Ooze eating the food I put in there.

Would a Frigid Ooze in a bag have any combat utility? Does anyone have its stats and special abilities?
