Would you buy this?
I sure wouldn't. Not without a LOT of cushions anyway.

Would you buy this?
I sure wouldn't. Not without a LOT of cushions anyway.
For a fraction of the price I'd make my own.
Not at that price.
I'm sure its worth it, but that's quite a lot of cash for a chair.
It's not as uncomfortable as it looks. They had one set up at the GDC last year...
Still, I wouldn't buy it because it doesn't have the qualities I look for in an office chair... And it's expensive. My chair at home was made by Serta. They make beds... The chair is quite comfy. It wasn't the cheapest, but it wasn't expensive either.
If it's not made out of real swords to begin with, no.
Come on, an Iron Throne of plaster?! :smalltongue:
Not even at a fraction of that price. It doesn't look at all comfortable and it doesn't go with anything in my house. Maybe I'd consider buying it at material cost, but even then I'd be buying it for the material so I could melt it down and make something useful, assuming it's actually made of at least mostly iron.
If I had a house or apartment that could fit it and I had a lot of money (or it were cheaper), probably so. It's not so much a chair as an ornament of sorts. Memorabilia. It doesn't need to be practical.
I'd pay the iron price for it.
If I had that much money to throw around on what is essentially junk, then I'd consider it, although I was disappointed to discover when I first saw it that it wasn't made from iron (as much sense as it makes that it isn't).
It is pretty cool, but it'd be a reasonable way down my list of things to buy even if I became rich enough to afford it.
Yes. Yes I would. Worth every penny. Not to mention you earn 219,975 geek points which is just frosting on an already pretty awesome cake.
Color me unimpressed and unamused.
I'd rather have spending money for a few years. I'd probably break it within a few weeks, anyways.
For that price I'd rather pay someone to make a real one.
At that price I'd rather buy one of these.
Still, pretty cool. And it SHOULD be uncomfortable to sit on...and dangerous!
Entertaining as I find the idea of purchasing the Iron Throne, no. I never really liked the way the show visualized the throne to begin with; there's no way I'd pay that kind of money for a fiberglass/resin mockup of one of their props.
You mean this thing?
Way aheada ya.
At that price it would need to be made of actual high-carbon steel battle-ready swords.
And then I wouldn't buy it, because I don't need a chair made of swords. But, y'know, if I did.
I wouldn't pay for it. :smalltongue:
I feel entirely "Meh" towards it. It doesn't appeal to me, it doesn't look comfy, and the price tag is absurd.
I would not buy that. There's no situation in which I'd want it in my home permanently. I'd also much rather have a car at that price. Or a down payment on a home.
Nope, I wouldn't buy it. Who wants the seven kingdoms anyway? They're like, the crummiest kingdoms in the entire GoT world and half of them aren't even loyal at this point anyway.
You must not have checked the link. They're not accepting the iron price.
Yes. I am the Terminator. I can't be bargained with. I can't be reasoned with. I don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And I absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.
I am the terminator. I send fear into the hearts of my enemies just by existing.Quote:
It's not about comfort. It's about sending fear into the hearts of your enemies!
Not to me.Quote:
Are you kidding!? It's worth exactly every penny!
That much for a kneeler's chair? You know nothing. :smalltongue:
Gotta give 'em points for the sheer density of references in the description, though.
The actual prop isn't made out of metal, iirc. So, you may be out of luck there.
