If you were to be in front of the waterfall... you wouldn't be able to see the back wall.

SHAKE, SHIVER
If the solid fog works for about a minute, Shake and Shiver have more than enough time to get through. If they dont see anything that immediately can kill them, and they see a cave opening, they will go through.

Melk
"I'll check it out. My weapon does give me sight beyond sight... That sounds kind of ridiculous, but in the world we live in, eveything can be..."
Melk draws his sword and walks through the waterfall without flinching or being slowed by the pounding waters (Freedom of Movement). His sword give him blindsight which will allow him to pierce most any illusion or hidden creature or object.

What does my listen check tell me?

There is nothing that can immediately kill you...

You can see a rather large pile of coins that has a rock on it and 6 roughly humanoid shapes standing around.

Well... if you make the check and get higher than 26, I'll tell you.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Vitis Refreshes the Solid fog, and darts in behind the waterfall after turning invisible.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
SHAKE, SHIVER
OOC: Shake and Shiver should have been the first ones through.
Shake and Shiver both draw their swords as they walk under the temporarily slowed waterfall; the coins only draw their attention for the moment, they spend far more time regarding the humanoid shapes.
Do you understand Giantish? Are you human? Are you even alive?
-
Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Still invisible, the stone and Nazelia fly inside as well. The stone casts Ebon eyes, allowing them both to see perfectly in normal and magical darkness as if it was normal vision.

You know everything everyone else knows... except that you know the humanoid shapes are statues.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
SHAKE
Getting no response from the shapes, Shake goes over to the pile of coins to check them out.
SHIVER
Shiver continues to keep an eye on the statues, ready to attack them if they react to Shake checking out the coins.

The pile is of all gold coins.
The statues do not move... as they are statues.

The coins move away from you when you reach for them.

The coins stop moving... and then begin moving again, only faster.

You hear the coins, and the flapping of some large wings... really large wings.

Large flapping wings inside the cave?

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
During one of the solid fogs, Sgrag would rush under the water and look about at the cave walls.

SHIVER, SHAKE
Upon hearing the flapping of wings, Shiver takes a defensive position with her sword out. Shake abandons playing with the coins, and takes a spot beside her, also ready for whatever is coming at them.

Yes, the area is quite expansive... approximately 3000ft in length sloping downwards at approximately a 10° angle... the ceiling is 100ft above you and the walls are about 100ft apart. The sound of the flapping comes from deeper in the cave. Also, the coins have now finished what they were doing... they are now neatly stacked up against the wall.

HAHA! The coins are enchanted to get out of the way when the dragon kills intruders. Nice.
The stone and Nazelia fly to the roof of the ceiling, and prepare for a diving charge. (Both are still invisible). Also, the stone can see as if this cave was filled with normal light, so he will likely see the color of the dragon before anyone else.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Gor
Gor follows his friends inside the cave, keeping his hammer in his lowest set of arms, while unstrapping the scythe from his back with the upper. Once inside, he glances about, but mostly trusts to his companions, knowing that many of them have far superior senses. Taking his cue from the sudden tension in his friends, Gor prepares for battle, oddly enough by hanging his hammer on one of his many hooks, and putting all six of his arms on the haft of the scythe.

I'm not gonna bother with a listen check as my max is 22. That might be borderline metagaming, but it seems reasonable to me to assume that Gor is at least smart enough to know that he's not the most observant person out there; if you're not stabbing him he probably hasn't noticed you yet:smalltongue:. Also, he only has 60' darkvision, so to him the vast majority of the cave is a mystery.

You can all hear a loud roar followed by the sound of lightning hitting something made of metal.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Sgrag will sniff about and then make a run for where the coins stacked (hoping they will help him climb the wall).
Climb [roll0]
Jump if needed to get to the top of the coins quicker [roll1]
"Ask and you shall receive," he jests to himself as he runs past his companions.

With a climb check like that I'm tempted to say you climbed the air...
