Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Well, of course six. If I can take them, I might as well take them. Besides, it made it easier for my college classes. (Granted, last semester, I took classes with people two years ahead of me, but that's beside the point.) The only downside to taking a lot of AP classes is that you have to practice for Chamber Orchestra at 4:30 AM before leaving for early morning class, and for regular Orchestra at 11:30 before going to bed.

Did you get any sleep that year? :smalleek:
Hmm, maybe AP classes are easier where you come from. (Where do you come from, anyway?)
Or maybe I'm just overestimating them.
Or maybe you're just one of those people who can do everything. Yeah, it's the last one, isn't it?
How's college working out for you now?
-
Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Yes, I got enough sleep. I'm from Western United States. AP classes are not easy, I just got really lucky to get my 4s and 5s. Seriously, I'm probably one of the luckiest unlucky persons that I know.
College (University) worked out fine. I'm glad to have a break. Speaking of breaks, this is the longest consecutive amount of times that I have posted in this thread, so now I need to leave. Bye, y'all!

I thought you were in Europe?
Oh well, I'll let you go for now. I'll have to get your story another time.

There is such an aesthetic as Discobilly, and I have now seen it.
I think perhaps a better word would be Disco-liverance, all told, but looking like a seedy rapist is a small price to pay for not having to shave or button your shirt up.

There is an IB-course on a gymnasium level here in town, and, well, I can't really determine why anyone would want to go there in the first case (and then half of the girls in my 9th grade class went to IB... :smallsigh:). First of all, it's not especially compatible with the Swedish educational system, which inevitably causes some problems when you proceede to the university, and all the education except the Swedish classes is in English, which in itself isn't bad, but at the time they graduate, their Swedish have actually gotten worse. No, I'll stick to my NV ("Naturvetenskap", or "Natural Science" in English) with extra English and the best English teacher in town.

Perhaps it's Roman numbers and x stands for 10.

Or perhaps it refers to Milsy's height, ten times that of Beatrice, and at a constant height of x - y.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Teddy: Since your post seemed to indicate you want to perfect your English, "which inevitable causes some problems" ought to be "which inevitably causes some problems". You are modifying the verb "causes", which requires an adverb and the adverb ending -ly, not the adjective form.
On leather: I have the sleeveless torso of a tan, lambswool-lined leather jacket. Not enough left to refashion into a jacket per se, but maybe a Conan-esque fur vest is doable. This time, when I sew it, I will use a zigzag stitch and maybe seam tape to stabilize the old and weakening leather--the slippers (made from the sleeves of said jacket) are already falling to pieces along the seams and they're not so old even if the leather itself might be.
That and I have no interest in sewing the necessary new sheets and duvet cover, even if the guest bed needs them in two weeks or less, before the guest arrives. Straight lines are so boring. :smallyuk:

Oh, a careless misstake from my side. I wrote the "inevitable" into the text after reading it through once because I though something was missing, and I didn't notice that I made that error. Thanks, anyway.

I don't have anything interesting to say.
I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Star Wars Day.
May the Fourth be with you, all!
You are now free to carry on with your normal schedule.

Brotherhood is the manga. There is virtually no difference. If you prefer the manga over Brotherhood it's because of a preference of medium, not because one is better than the other.

Someone should add to that article that the world's largest wooden spoon is 4.64m (15.22 ft) long, 1.07m (3.5 ft) wide and weighs 350kg (771.6lbs).

My cousin and friends took IB classes. They were complaining about how hard their homework was, so I took a look at their homework.
I found out that IB and AP classes are pretty much exactly the same, except IB has more essays (Except English; the Senior English Lit/Lang teacher gave out more essays in her AP classes), and that their homework is really really easy. Or it could have just been IB was new, so the easy teachers taught it, while all the hardest teachers in the school taught AP.
Maybe it was just me.

Here they really are mostly the same. There are AP and IB people taught in the same classes (Except English and Philosophy). So it's just the tests and projects that are different. And which of those is harder varies by subject.

Maybe you are. I don't think it could be not on purpose, anymore.

I have some. Cycoris gave them to me. Everyone I know thinks they're hilarious.
Problem is, I live off cereal and soup, neither of which are conducive to eating with chopsticks . . . I never use forks anyway (chopsticks instead) but I haven't *needed* fork in so long I can hardly remember.

And now so do I.
They're actually not as complicated as I remember them being last time I tried to use them (which involved me flinging rice at a very old woman )

Yeah, they're not that hard to use. I learned by eating trail mix with them: mini M&Ms are hard to pick up when you're first learning.
