Be proud that you enjoy D&D. Who cares what other people think.

Are you from Canada by any chance?

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I think I may be slightly obsessive about new interests. I binge watch shows, read novels for hours at a time, and research new things until I discover I'm several topic removed from what I started with

It's common to have some existential concept of "right" that trumps purported authority, along with a fairly clear idea of what authority trumps which one.
I hate to tell you but the alignment system hasn't really taken off within the field of moral philosophy. Meaning as soon as the alignment system leaves the gaming world it breaks down.

I wouldn't say that. The system breaks down well before you leave the gaming world.

You need to get better self-esteem.
Also a girlfriend/boyfriend [delete as appropriate].

To be fair, most people also probably couldn't explain the difference between the predominant systems in ethics, or the primary objections to the categorical imperative, or something.

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Whenever I watch a movie taking place during a time with guns, I try to identify off the top of my head what guns they are.
I even do that with Star Wars, although sometimes it's harder due to the Star Wars weapons removing things that make certain guns easier to identify. (EX: No easily visible side magazine on the stormtrooper blaster, which is the Sterling L2A3)
I don't know if this is a problem or not.

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I confess that I am recording these in journal, and use them as laughs for when I'm forced to watch Cold War Documentary's.

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I gender people online based on their avatar and/or username.
If you have a gender-neutral either or both, I assume you're male, unless disabused by speech patterns. This has gotten me into hilarious trouble with gay male friends.

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I have voices associated with different people here, and there is usually little to no explanation to them. I just read everyone's posts in different voices.

Is that even possible?

Every so often I do a
Member Search
to find folks who posted long ago, and also more recently, and I've found a few who've gone over a decade between posts, which makes me even more curious.

Can you describe the different voices you associate with some of us?

Sure. I read your posts in the male orc voice from Skyrim.
I read 2D8HP's posts in the voice of my grandpa.
I'll think of how to describe some others soon

I had to look that up since I've never played Skyrim. It's a bit deeper than my regular voice, but I think I can pull off an approximation of it.

Confession: I tried adding someone to my ignore list just so I wouldn't have to see a certain topic they created. Unfortunately it didn't work, so I removed them.

I don't have a voice from some piece of media for reference, but I imagine it as a lower feminine voice, and with a British accent.

You actually share the same voice I read Elan's voice. Which for some reason is another Skyrim voice, which sounds like this (1:46 to end only)

The voice I gave you is actually someone I used to know in high school. It's a mid range feminine voice.

My voice is actually sound like a child voice even though that I'm an adult.

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I'm a little afraid to ask what my voice would sound like.
As for a confession...I help in the family business, which is being landlords. And I'll be damned if I can remember the name of any two-legged tenant, but I can usually remember the names of the dogs. (They're very good dogs, by the way.)

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
It's always interesting to think on how other people perceive you, when all you have is a name, maybe an image, and whatever a person posts to go off of. Of course, sometimes the thought comes that maybe you're better off not knowing. :smalltongue:

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
I read all of OotS in 3-4 days. This was about a month ago. Having caught up know, and unable to cope with the slow publishing time, I have begun obsessing over this forum.
This is not the only thing I do this two, and in another month I will likely be addicted to something else.

Re: Confessions 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Some of my habits: constantly apologize for things that either I didn’t do, things that I had no control over, or both.
Tell people things, forget that I told them, and tell them again.
Another habit of mine is to tell people things, forget that I told them, and tell them again.
Another habit of mine is to tell people things, forget that I told them, and tell them again. (Get the joke? It’s true, though)
Abuse my lesser need for sleep compared to others of my age and stay up ridiculously late or get up ridiculously early.
