I apologize for the double post, but this thread needed some love.
Wildcard turning into energies...does that mean that wildcard is the process of turning one energy into another, while control is controlling a certain one?
Does that mean one could spend an energy to make more of that energy? That's worded poorly. Could I use wildcard to turn structure into more wildcard energy so that I would actually get back the energy I spent and therefore be able to use it to change MORE energy. Basically, a controlled black hole. Further, I wonder if I could change wildcard into something else using wildcard energy...

These represent a players "abilities". The represent the features of the player, among other things.

These are things that affect players, and the environment, from what I understand.
I'd say emotions would be a combination of the Thought and Perception energies. Isn't it great how these energies just are naturally able to be percieved, understood, and combined into what we know?

IT LIIIIVES. I've just been very busy managing my neat little minecraft empire. With school starting back up, I hope to be doing a lot more work on this (I do my best work at school, don't judge).

My artist tells me that they've finished the first pictures for the first Shape, which I'm eager to see. In the meantime, I've been trying to flesh out exactly how Ness's and Alchemies work, as well as how they interact with one another.

I've been coming up with a list. The problem is having the Ness's not overlap with Energies (First roughly correlates to strength). The big difference is that Ness's are yes-no type deals, whereas Energies are spectrums.
Random examples from my list:
Flammableness
Sharpness
Foodness
Rightness (We can get abstract)
Bounciness (WEEEE)
Welkness (The state of being at peace with Fourthland)
Baeness (Being driven towards utilizing every tool at your disposal)
Shininess

A problem I see here is that the ness's aren't spectrums like the energies. How flammable? How sharp? How food? (or nutritious or energy-supplying in this case). Is there an energy you can pump into an item to increase the overall effectiveness of a ness?
Also. seeing as this system will be made to be easily homebrewed, you don't have to worry about including everyone's favorite -ness.
But I say temporal anchor. An item or person that refuses to be chronofragged. And fire. Don't forget the fire. Although that would release energies, so how that would work out, i dunno...

Effectiveness? :smalltongue: I'll give the degree-issue some thought.
As for the Temporal Anchor, I had something along those lines planned for an Alchemy.
I have some rules for Fire done, which is a reaction as opposed to a ness/alchemy. It's the spontaneous conversion of 1st to 9th and 10th. With Alchemies you can probably do hijinks with it.

I have "Ugliness" and "Attractiveness" already. Complexness.. Simpleness as well. I like it.
Now the troubling question is the exact mechanics of Ness's, and how they are handled about.

I see nesses as pulling from energies and playing off of one another in pairs. As in, if one thing takes a ness, it also has in that range the opposing ness. That way they can increase or decrease in that spectrum. So take your ideas for complexness and simpleness. They are 2 nesses on the same spectrum.
It seems there are also all encompassing nesses that effect each one. Effectiveness - How far toward one side of the spectrum you are.
Specialness - Well, I'm not exactly sure...maybe this is a category label for nesses that are special. Literally "special nesses".

Hmm. The majority of the ness's do have opposite counterparts, and I have no included Greatness, which amplifies the effect. As for "Specialness" as a category, I don't see much point in it as a category unless it serves some function, such as restricting characters/objects to only a certain number of ness's from a category, which doesn't seem to be a huge concern at the moment.
Rather, Specialness could weird-if---
