No, probably not. But I was tired and didn't read the whole article.
Anyway, deadtime now. Goodnight, sleep tight and don't threaten innocents near a Qilin. That makes it angry.

Might someone give me a link to Watchtower? I can't seem to find it to drop my person in Harnel's tournament...

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
It's on the second page. Also, the tournament's in the Harnel Plots thread.

SC, would you mind pointing me to the latest relevant posts in Outside?

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
DEB, would the tiefling still be where she's noticeable? I think it might be interesting to have her meet Naera.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
Yup! She's sitting in the waiting rom, staring at the TV.
Has Naera entered yet?

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
Not yet. You remember what she looks like from the stuff in the Nest, right?
Also, my power just went down for twenty minutes or so, so I may vanish randomly tonight.

Deadtime now. Goodnight, sleep tight and don't let the Rabisu bite.

Yup!
Half-demon-thing right?

Not half, I think, though that's kind of ill-defined. But yes, she's the demonkin.

Woah, it's a kindred spirit.

Of a sort, yes. Certainly, close enough to work as one for our purposes, especially with Naera's past.

*pokes Lost* Pretty sure it's your turn in GLoG. Then BR can be pulled in when Quinn is addressed.

So, I plan on starting my Nexus-themed XCOM playthrough later today or maybe tomorrow. Could I get a recap on who was interesting in having their characters in the squad to inevitably die?

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
I was interested in having Naera in it. Though I never got you the personality for her, since I'm not so sure on how to write it...
-
Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
That's fine. Does Naera at least have a last name?

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
Actually, before I start the paythrough and the writing, I should note a couple of things that might make you lose interest in having your character there.
In the Nexus, your character's probably half-demon, half-elf, half-robot, and half-roctopus. In XCOM, they're human. That's how it is in the game, and it's easiest for me to write anyway.
In the Nexus, your character's probably some godslaying, heavens piercing badass that makes Vasquez cry for Mommy. In XCOM, they're a rookie, with a life expectancy of 'eh, maybe a few minutes.'
If you read those, and you still want your character in, that's great. If not, let me know.

Vasquez never cries for her mother. Her mother is more than tough enough to take care of herself. :smalltongue:

I volunteer the Lawn Gnomes. Just give them a number as I've only named one of them ever.

Just give Kirk the darkest skin and white hair. *nodnod*

Suddenly: Chryssalids.
ALL THE CHRYSSALIDS.
Count John O'Connell, Brendan Drake, and Aleksandra Russkij among the sheep to the slaughterrecruits. :smallamused:

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
If it's possible to make Naera an albino, since that's essentially what she looks like now, there's no problem with her being human. And if not, eh, oh well.
That said, while her culture isn't necessarily important, there are some bits that I'd prefer be kept that originally stemmed from it, if possible, primarily her tendency to carve markings into her arm when she feels she made an error (even if it seems relatively minor to others, often enough; she's something of a perfectionist).
Also, is her canonical history relevant, or no?
Edit:
Whoops, missed your question above. She doesn't have a last name in the Nexus, no. Perhaps "Nachtgeboren" would work?

If it's not too late, I wish to have Dave Smith eventually die on said squad if possible :smalltongue:

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
Cultural history is not relevant at all.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
C'nor, I actually can't find any kind of description for Naera. Is there one?
