Oh, so now Pages were fighting Nazis, were they? :smalltongue:
Trying to think of an appropriate Soviet Russia joke...
So what other codices were used?
In Soviet Russia, your gender tells g*******
Well, Pages aren't supposed to involve themselves with humans (see: Roy), but maybe the Pages thought Russia needed to be protected. So they used Freezers against the Germans (humans) at Stalingrad, iirc. Seems like a rare example though.
Maybe it is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules... or a group of pages got together and decided it was in everyone's best interest if Germany did not succeed. Or something.
I wonder: Are pages immortal? Or at least some of them? That could mean that Jackie here was IN Russia during that.
Fayd- I doubt it. They seem to have children and live like any other humans, just with spells and innate abilities. I'm guessing they maybe have a slightly higher lifespan, but due to combat and intrigue, most don't get to that age. I mean, most of the Pages we've seen are teens, with the exception of Tony's dad and Reeves.
Kumo- Good point. Maybe the laws have changed during the Cold War? Most plots in the "real world" have something to do with Nazis/the Cold War.

Elagune, quick question. How long does it take to produce a black and white page as opposed to a colored one?
The Jaques (did I spell that right?) avi is cool, but I like my avi as it is.
Additional thanks to Maximum Zersk for my awesome CHB avi.
I like the way it is now
I just made a connection! If the Freezing Codex defended Russia during Operation Barbarossa, than what if the Candle Codex worked with the germans, creating the fire/ice opposition. Also, the Black Forest of Germany are one location where some 'corpse candles' have been sighted.
But I'm not smart, so I might have effed something up along the way. Just tossing this out there.
I think it's more likely that the Pages of the Flaming Codex from Maui retaliated against the Japanese Pages of the (Divine) Wind.
Maybe that's WHY they aren't allowed to fight.
Also, nice page. XD
...And the plot thickens...
Moar avatars.
I will take Molly, if that's ok.
Voldemort?
No.
The Slender Man.
Oh my second guess would have been Candlejack, you know, like Jack from the Cand
I smiled at how you connect history with this comic:smallbiggrin:
I suppose the freezing is one of the more subtle ways to interfere with the normal world. I mean, creating a chilly winter is one thing, but to bomb a city with pumpkins is somewhat... less subtle:smalltongue:
May i have Jacques?
