MegaWarrior - Apparently thread names cannot be edited.
This is a comic about a group playing Mega Man as an RPG campaign, though they don't all know it.
CHARACTERS:
Alex Aliotte (the DM): What the DM says goes and that's final.
Pete Andersen (Mega Man Type): The protagonist.
Rick Vitarys (Met-Head): The not-quite-protagonist.
Dave Vlazen (Proto Man Type): He's really awesome, but don't expect him to bother showing up most of the time.
Emilio Desiliaga: That one dude nobody likes.

Re: MegaWarrior
Backgrounds, please. And if not, please select another colour than purple :smallyuk:

Re: MegaWarrior
The comics are good, but a tad too small for my tastes.

1. That's not purple, that's pink.
2. As you can imagine, Tom chose the paint color for the lab. :smalltongue:
UPDATE: Next (several) comic(s) coming tonight.

Re: MegaWarrior
Eh, the background honestly could use a bit more work, even if the floor and walls are the same color. And maybe have the character's mouths move?
Sprite Comics are hard to pull off good, but hopefully you won't fall into the traps that most sprite comic artists do.

And it has twice as many panels.

Re: MegaWarrior
Wait, I don't get it. What is the first law of robotics?
Oh, and while I'm posting, I'm gonna say it again. Pleeeeease, backgrounds!

Isaac Asimov's Three Laws
1: Robots must not harm humans.
2: Robots must obey orders of a human, unless it conflicts with Rule #1.
3: Robots must preserve themselves, unless it conflicts with Rule #1 or Rule #2.

I agree. No backgrounds are no fun.

Re: MegaWarrior
Note to self: while one scientist works, the other repaints the lab. Don't let me forget.

Note: I slightly edited the first line so I could paint the lab blue.

Re: MegaWarrior
Okay, that looks a lot better. More defined, and less blinding. Pass!
Well, the comic looks good, right now. The story idea is creative (I don't think I've ever seen a story based on people role-playing Megaman), the font is readable, and the jokes are at least not ripped straight off from BnG. Pass!

Must... make... more... comics... despite... school...

Hey, as long as you're faster than I am, it's alright. :smalltongue:

Re: MegaWarrior
Heh, pretty funny. Though I think it could've been funnier if you made "Metal" just say "It's not like you're even trying anymore!" and get rid of him saying Heavy Metal. It makes the readers look for the joke.
Of course, that's just me.

What, no feedback at all?

Re: MegaWarrior
I'll give you feedback if you give my comic feedback :)
I don't get if Arctic is referencing anything. Is it?

So far, he's not anything besides an Eskimo-bot.

9. Stayin' Chill

...Wow, this is the second comic without the DM having any lines. And the other only had five, short lines.
P.S. All Robot Masters get special text boxes. "Arctic"'s have cyan inside and go around rather than through other text boxes.

Re: MegaWarrior
Technically, the generally accepted term for the Indigenous people of Northern Canada and the surrounding area is Inuit. :smalltongue:

Re: MegaWarrior
Cool. Love the new webcomic.
"I hate these puns" :) It's always nice when characters poke fun at the jokes they're in.
Now go comment on my webcomic before I go crazy with low feedback issues. Pwease? The kitty wants you too:

Actually, there are natives "up north" that aren't Inuit, and very well may take offense to the term. Unless you're sure which group they're from, it's best to stick with Eskimo.

Re: MegaWarrior
But-, unless every one of my social studies teachers from grade 3 onward are wrong- "Eskimo" means "Eater of Raw Meat."

And this is why. :smalltongue:

Re: MegaWarrior
Haha, so far so good. I'm looking forward to see how you manage juggling fun parts and things that are important to move the story along. After you put in some backgrounds I feel that each part of the comic is drawn together better, thus making it more comfortable for the viewer.
On the "Eskimo matter", I think using Eskimo has the best effect. Just because it can be viewed as slightly offending. Calling Arctic an Inuit would most likely be more "politically correct", but also put a damper on the joke itself :3
Keep up the good work! ^^,
