Because we grow older, so more of us start testing it, or just get launched into situations where drinking is expected of you. That said, it's a steadily recurring subject, although I suppose we're on a top right now...

Just bread, actually, as the fermentation of beer is done through yeast, not mold. :smallwink:
And to answer your question (on liquors in general): well there are a number of answers, but the most common one is that drinking it makes you happy (roughly speaking), and as such, it's become the drink of choice for joyous occations.

I only just noticed that I've been listening to Gangnam Style parodies for a little over an hour now.. I can't stop listening to them!

I think you're overestimating the size of the thing--the advert on TV with the mummy showed the confectionery fitting on the palm of their hand with plenty of room around the edges; a Chocolate Orange is much bigger than that. I think that's why the Pyramint failed in the end, in fact, because you didn't get enough for your money!

Preaching to the choir, my freind. My discipline is directly porportionate to my care level. "Eh. You'll get used to the pain."
still hurts, damnit

I'm sorry Mynxae, but the infection must be stopped at the source.
In other words, I may or may not send ninjas after you. It depends on whether or not my budget allows for it.

On the topic of work/life/sleep, I spent the weekend staying with my girlfriend. This meant I spent the weekend not doing work. So I now have far too much work to do this week. Also I have a sci-fi society meeting tonight and games night tomorrow, which cuts into my work-time. And I don't get a huge amount of sleep anyway. I should really be working now, but I seem to be on the internet instead :smallsigh:

Well, you should be able to cut something so you can do some work together in the future, if you need to miss a meeting to do work it's not the end of the world so long as you try to prevent it from occurring again and actually work.

Guys. I saw a badger today. Today was a good day, regardless of all the unnecessary stress I put myself through due to procrastination.

Oh yeah, as long as I buckle down this week I'll catch up without having to miss anything, and then it should be no trouble to stay caught up.

They did, when he was younger. He physically fought them, and when forcibly dragged there, he sat under the table refusing to speak. We stopped being able to carry him there once he got older, and there was nothing that he would do there, what was the the point? Instead, the therapy bill went to stress-relief for my parents who had to deal with him, and to me, who had to deal with him and had serious sensory issues as a kid, and then had FDS.

Well yes, I know that, it's just, I'd have expected to age levels on the forum to stay about the same as the years pass, so we'd have no more talk about alcohol in one year than compared to the last. But suddenly there's much more mention of it than before.
ION: God, I can't tell if today was horrendous or good. I hate days like that.

It ebbs and flows, really. When we get started on it, we go on for awhile, otherwise we generally don't bring it up... much...

Ok I need some innuendo.
I have a paper on elementary particles that are probably but not certainly having causal relations, and if they are we don't know what the location or time is. I need a title that could also be read as an innuendo.

And you lost it. Mostly because I can't remember which ones elementary particles are these days.
Aside from wanting to Higgs your boson, anyway. :smallconfused:

This is why I hate PETA. I hope Nintendo sues them to Hell and back, they have it coming. They've done a similar thing with Cooking Mama and Mario. Twice for Mario, actually.

Doesn't much matter. I was planning on doing something on relations in unknown locations.
