First time drawing a minotaur? You did a really good job if you ask me
And Astrid looks lovely. Thanks for sketching them!

I'd say that for someone who can't draw horses you did quite a good job, given that I can't see any problems with the horse in question. In general, that Astrid picture is awesome and some of the best work I've seen you do.
Also, the girl in this picture kinda looks like shorter haired Mokou in armor. Can't say I complain about that.
Penguins and owls put my mind in good mood.
Navi, on the other hand... "Hey, listen!"
To begin 05:00, it is long night! But excited. This time much English can be listened to. 頑張れ日本!
I think were all excited for the Olympics! Good luck to every country competing!
Kasa, when you get time, would it be possible to get a drawing of an elven girl wearing a red dress, with shoulder-length ice-white hair, and grey eyes, sitting on a stone under the night sky, with a blood-red tear on her cheek, seen as though from a distance, with bushes and a tree in the foreground?
Hmmm... I've actually got a character concept I might request a sketch of as well if you've got the time, Kasanip.
Talking about Olympic, kasanip. This isn't actually a request, but you know what would be amusing? I wonder is it actually possible to turn/draw the mascots into anime style ? Maybe I should try it too...
I don't know this character, but I will try.
Of course, I am happy to try.
The mascots?
Of Olympics, it was very exciting the Opening Ceremony! But weekend became [nocturnal], and firework festival was sunday, so it is apology of no drawing.
But friend is to make sketch for all Olympic event. If it is desired, please look! めでぃ助
All right. I'll actually put her description in two parts- the second part would be neat, but it's optional.
SpoilerChiyoko is a young woman, about 24 years old. She has straight, black hair, long enough to reach down to her shoulders, and brown eyes.
In terms of clothing, she'd be wearing the clothing of a miko. As far what she's doing in the drawing... one of two things. Either giving a speech, or in the middle of a fight (in which case she'd be in a fairly defensive stance- her fighting style is called Crane Style, if that gives you any ideas).
Now, the optional part: Chiyoko's a character for an RPG called Exalted, and she's what the game calls a Solar Exalted. Part of it is that when she uses enough power, there are visible signs- I'll list what's added at each level so you can decide what to add. At the lowest level, her Caste mark appears- in Chiyoko's case, a golden disk on her forehead.
When she uses a bit more power, she's surrounded by an aura. In this case, a mix of gold and white. And finally, when she spends enough power, an image forms behind her. This is different depending on the character, and in Chiyoko's case, takes the form of five golden rings in the air behind her.
With the optional bit, you can decide how much of that to add.
Thanks in advance!
Thank you very much!
I was talking about these kasanip. The mascot of london's olympic game.

And on exalted... it has cool setting, but the rule is so complicated for me... I still wish to be able to play at least one game...
Oh goodness, Exalted is VERY rule-heavy from what I've heard. The fluff as I hear is very detailed but also seems rather debated on it's quality. I don't know much of the fluff though so you'd need to ask someone who knows more than I do. Kasanip, if I may ask, what other game systems have you played before aside from the one we're both in?
That's a common reaction, don't worry. Exalted has a very interesting setting, but the rules are very... hmmm... there are considerable problems with the rules. There's a lot of errata associated with the current edition of Exalted which fixes some of the problems, but there's still a lot of cross-referencing. It's available for free, but still.
That said, they're actually making a third edition, and the people in charge of this edition know about the problems and are trying to fix them. So, if you want to get into Exalted, it might be worth waiting until December, when they're releasing the new edition.
One thing about the rules (which likely won't be changed in 3rd edition) is Stunting- the game actually rewards good description of actions, which might be useful practice, Kasanip.
Oh, I see. I don't have a strong feeling about this mascot.
Rule-heavy is difficult, I think so too.
Of game system, I have played such a game system:
Spoiler
West
Dungeons&Dragons 3.5e (only Japan version)
[OOTS]God Game Heroes (Omnik system)
[OOTS]Playground (TheDarkDM system)
[OOTS]ファイアーエムブレム (TheSummoner system)
M&M2.0
Japan
ソードワールド 2.0
アルシャードff &GAIA (and SRS games)
ナイトウィザード The Second Edition
シノビガミ
ダブルクロスThe Third Edition (DX3)
りゅうたま
ゆうやけこやけ
Maybe something has been forgotten.
Recently to think I want to try to be GM of a game in English. Maybe some confidence came from Playground games. Either a game like アルシャードff can be played not difficult, or it can be fun a travel or story. Maybe to use SRS and run [Hijack☆Umbrella]. It was game idea I had last year.
Thank you for advice! I will wait and maybe an interest can be tried at such a time.
It is nice when system has [reward for roleplay]. But like it is said by you, it is important for me to practice such a description. I am very poor at this for forum games.
I see now why you were going to withdraw from Close Horizons. You become very invested in your characters, moreso than anyone else I know.
Your sketches are quite lovely, and I can see your quality improving as you go.
For me, much of a character's persoality comes from their family, so it is hard to invest in a single character until I've played through a few generations. I envy your creativity.
Hope you're having a good week, see you in the game!
If you're looking for rules-light (or maybe just more abstract) RPGs, can I suggest a FATE-based system? Or Dresden Files RPG in particular.
SpoilerThe central mechanic of FATE is "Aspects", short phrases that describe some part of your character. Following one of your aspects when it's inconvenient gives you "Fate points"; you can spend Fate points to gain a bonus on something relevant to one of your aspects.
For instance, if you had the phrase "No one tells me what to do" as an aspect, then you would gain Fate points for disobeying orders, and could spend Fate points to resist mind control.
The GM can use aspects too. Let's say you were playing Eris in such a system, and she had something like "Fire Mage" as an aspect. If you're fighting a water mage, then the GM could offer you a Fate point in exchange for declaring that Eris's spells don't work well against this opponent (though you don't have to accept).
You can also add aspects to NPCs or the surroundings, or attempt to guess at aspects they already have. Eg. attacking someone in the eyes could add the "Blind" aspect, but that aspect can be used to gain Fate points or grant bonuses like any other. You're encouraged to add aspects which reflect backstory or personality, so that some of the storytelling is in the hands of the players and not just the GM.
Then there's Legend, which is similar to D&D 3.5e but simplified a bit.
Or there's Risus. :smalltongue:
I have played using the FATE system before, and I can say that by initial playing I was having buckets of fun.
For $h!ts and giggles, we had this pre-campaign thing to see if we enjoyed the system or not. It was probably one of the funniest beginning games I've enjoyed.
Quote of that day: "I like my Pirates how I like my women... covered in BEES!!!" (this was because I caused a tree to erupt from the main cannon of a ship, rendering it useless, and then summoning bees from that tree to harry our enemies)
Shenanigans aside, FATE can be used in more serious roleplay, but if I had to run any system, for the sheer funnies you get out of this game, FATE is probably the one I would pick.
Thank you for kind comments and visiting my sketchbook! See you in the game!
Thank you for recommendations! As expected of Prime32! Now it is only need to find such an interesting game!
Actually, a little of Fate RPG is remembered by me. Fri was to run such a game, but I only finished character creation. Sometime it would be nice to try again I think.
Thank you for advice! I like game style to have serious and comedy together, so it seems like fun.

Some sketch was final of the earlier design
Became completed for such a character.

Thinking about becoming a GM, it must be a decision of a game type. To think, there is confidence of these to make a try with 3-4 people:
- Alshard (maybe genre is [crossover fantasy])
- Night Wizard2 (such a setting is known. Modern Fantasy and crossover fantasy)
- Ryuutama (Travel story, probably I will use Tsukumonogatari World)
- Hijack☆Umbrella (Mystery Game, Kasanip creator, it is Modern Fantasy)
...this one actually makes me think of the Dawn Caste Solar Exalted. XD
(Dawn Castes are the warriors and generals of the Solar Exalted, as opposed to the character you drew for me, who's a Zenith Caste- that is, a priestess. While any Exalted is expected to be good at combat, Dawn Castes are the best at it)
