Laser monocle.
Flamethrower pen.
Exploding Mandala.
Gunchuks.
Like nunchuks. But with more dakka.
NBC respirator, looks like a handkerchief.
exploding/thermite credit card w/ watch detonator
Night Vision/infrared glasses
Hip flask grenades.
All sound awesome. What about something like Get Smart?
You mean like the cone of silence?
The silent radio: Like a normal radio, except that it makes absolutely no sound at all, so that your enemies can't hear it.
The solar powered torchlight: Usable as long as you are in a bright area.
The Ultimate Cloaking Device: The most advanced piece of technology we have to date, it is completely undetectable by sight, infrared, radar and sonar. Powered by a nuclear battery that lets it last for centuries. If we could only figure out where we put it.
My personal favourite gadget idea was for a medieval/renaissance spy. A pata or hooded katar, with a tweest - a highly-compact pistol crossbow running along the gauntlet, that fires the blade of the thing - a hinged and segmented blade that opens up into a grappling hook.
how inconspicuous do these have to be? like, won't turn heads on the street, able to fool guards, survive a pat down?
shuko are simple and useful. a pair of formal gloves that could deploy them would be interesting
you can add space for gear with things like fake skin. for example, a wrist mounted flame thrower.
pen that is a switch blade?
a suit jacket that could deploy a X proof/resistant cloak?
acid breath-spray
the back of the arm is rather unimportant for free motion, any weapon you could think to fit there. would get picked up in a frisking though.
if you want to get a bit high tech, a single strand of contained mono-filament woven into a piece of clothing.
you can have a grenade pen, but i think a spike grenade pen would be cooler and make more sense (a pen's worth of explosives isn't going to blast much).
that cloth that gets rigid from electricity could be taken to an extreme to make clothing that could turn into body armor. (or even a weapon if you want to push it)
How about a tie sword then? Turn on the juice and you have a paisley blade. If flynning your way around isn't your style, how about shirt made of a material that, when exposed to a certain chemical, contained in the buttons, turns into a potent explosive? The buttons also act as detonators.
A good idea is to think of how to turn everyday items into something out of the ordinary. The idea of a cane that turns into a sword is popular, because nobody sees it coming until it has already happened, and at that point it is obvious.
Everyone expects sword canes now though. You need a Rifle Cane
