Nicely done, Champions!
Special congratulations to dantiesilva, with (a ridiculous) 3 entries!

Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
Ah well, my Tentacle Dragon didn't place. I knew I should have found a way to do it without a flaw. Oh well, that just means I need to try harder next competition!
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
Looks like everybody's hopes were realised for the next secret ingredient.
I've never actually really taken a look at the class before, so let's see if I'll compete this time....
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
Congratulations to the placers, and a particular congrats to OMG PONIES for continuing to dominate. Everyone, go grab your trophies.
That went well. 50th percentile--I can live with an "average" for a first try.

Thanks, but I don't know if bronze is "dominating." Even still, I'm happy to place; I was very pleased with how Samantha turned out.
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
Yay I knew that no one could resist a warforged bard. I feel very silly for not looking at warforged's bonus languages first though, turns out what I thought was all was actually none.
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
Saddly my question was not asked and pointed out to the judges while the thread was going on so I will ask them now. For my character Xiroth Stirving the only thing taken into consideration was the two weapon fighting. Not the multi attack or the fact that all my attacks were a size category higher, thus 1d8's. I wish this would have been addressed as I asked but to late now the judging is closed. Thank you all for your imput though, and I defiantly understand that with a backstory he would have scored much higher. As well as a level break down. Hopefully this will help me in my next challenge I compete in but after to horrible losses I am going to give it a break and try judging one or two.
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
I knew that Samantha was entered by OMG PONIES, as there was a question in the RAW thread I almost responded to that referred to the Swanmay class. Nonetheless, awesome job to all!

Nice with lower levelled builds, but anything beyond about 6th level you're getting very low returns off of it. An increase from a d6 to a d8 is an average of 1 point of damage (per die) - you'd have been better off trying to find someway to pack Greater Mighty Whallop/Expansion into your build if you wanted to build of off something like that.
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
One problem that does not utilize the SI which was the point of this competition. To use all the abilities to there best advantage. Multiattack makes the claws and bite useful, as well as the feat that increase damage size stacked with enlarge self. Strength increase tie into spellcasting as well as weapon damage. Wings as was said I really couldn't do much they came to late for feats to improve. Breath weapon, well making the DC harder to resist is ok. Defiantly not the best build but it utilizes most of the abilities.

Around ICO time, I try not to post in there since I know some other chefs/judges will often lurk there. However, I wanted to make sure I had my Is dotted and Ts crossed as much as possible. :smalltongue:
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
Don't the contestants get trophies anymore?

Last I heard, it was HunterKiller that was making trophies, but I think that he may be more than a few behind... Chairman?

That's the same answer I gave the last time this was asked, essentially.
Re: Iron Chef Optimization Challenge in the Playground XXXIV
With this many entries, I'm absolutely thrilled to pull down the honorable mention! Congrats to all the other contestants, and much praise to the judges for tackling the mountain of entries in such a timely fashion!
See y'all in the next thread.

The Signature Spell feat lets you pick one spell you know and spontaneously convert prepared spells to cast that one instead. It's still a bit shaky from a RAW perspective, but there's an argument there.
