Some wealthy maniac is actually going for the $10K level.

I know some people who aren't going to trust this until he specifically says what developer he's going with.
Keep in mind the current "Most important character in homestuck" is either Little Cal or Gamzee. I don't think Hussie uses that title quite the same way we might use it.
Half a million dollars in just under 12 hours. Wow.
The Fan Troll Canon reward is kinda pointless, since first, as said above, Hussie already canonised all of them, and second, the second God Tier reward implies that with the first one, the Fan Troll exists for all of one panel before being killed.
Actually, the second one says nothing more than surviving a single panel. They could well be obliterated in the second panel instead.
Here.
I can only wish that if someone took the "God Tier" reward, it would be to make Gluteo Assbut the Hunk of Rumps a reality.
Do you honestly think Hussie wouldn't humour someone who gave him one hundred thousand dollars?
I especially like how the rewards become even more pointless and silly as you go into higher god-tiers. The $1,000,000 reward is what most kickstarters give out as a $1 reward. :smalltongue:
A kickstarter to fund a pledge for another kickstarter? It's almost as meta as this.
I suspect if someone does select that, the character will appear for one panel in the vein of this, dieing in the same panel (The third reward says nothing about your fantroll's survival :smallamused: ).
Or perhaps all those worlds and universes and dimensions we've seen will turn out to be part of an even larger organism: the fantroll.
This reveal will not require more than a single page, and, technically, will not affect the rest of the plot in any way. But still, should Fantroll® die, so would absolutely everything else we've seen until now. So, technically, that would make Fantroll® the single most important character of the whole webcomic, without actually changing the plot at all.
Maybe.
Hussie is capable of being much, MUCH more perverse than that.
check out the 10,000 rewards.
Someone just became canon.
2 actually:
1: Homestuck is based around Sburb, and Sburb is a sims style game played over an RPG style game which you must then eventually play both parts of. Ignoring the world shattering side function, A game like a classic RPG where you play as the Server to one or more client players playing through a session of sburb is one obvious possibility.
Of course its so obvious it then instantly becomes unlikely thanks to Hussian Logic.
2: A Homestuck Action Adventure Game, where you play client player or other element of sburb session and get hands on in your world.
Perhaps a combination of both would be even more awesome.
As for game elements, continuing under the assumption that it will have at least something to do with sburb: There will have to be a robus system of semi random generators in order to produce classpects and interesting worlds to explore within the inciphisphere. Also, I think we can expect something along the lines of progressive descisions causing larger and larger impacts in the game, creating multiple branching narative possibilities tied to a premade background storyline. All the decisions and their consequences then culminate in a very variable conclusion. Of course this being Homestuck, elements of the game that you have yet to experience will need to be responsible for your own past actions, so decisions will also affect things you do which in turn bring about the genesis of that narrative.
Man...I know nothing about it and I already want to play it. :smalltongue:
The game might be something similar to the "games" we've already seen in Homestuck, but more complex and with a lot more to do.
One thing that I'd be really happy to see (but which a lot of people wouldn't be, so it's unlikely) is a game of the Midnight Crew intermission. I've heard that originally that whole section WAS going to be an interactive flash, or a series of them. There's a file kicking around the internet somewhere where you can walk around as Spades Slick and look at stuff, similar to the first walkie page ever where John explored his house.
You'd swap between members of the Midnight Crew situated at different places/times in the Felt's mansion, with your goal being to kill all of them. Each would be defeated via a puzzle, basically. And you'd also have the option of smashing all 1000 clocks for bonus points.
It could totally work and be awesome, but like I said, it probably won't actually happen. Whatever DOES happen will also be cool though. I'm willing to bet $15 it will be cool
Hopefully it will be like an actual Sburb game, and you can multiplayer it up with your friends, be their server player and junk.
You have to work together to level up and beat the Black King. The reckoning would be a random date sometime in the future, and you have to be strong enough to beat him by then.
I hope it's not just single player, even though it would be pretty hard to do multi especially if you got like 12+ players. I could see it happening, but not likely. Maybe make a limit on the amount of players somewhere between 4 and 10?
Maybe it'll be all that, infinite amount of players you want, but you can only play through once, and if you lose or win, it's game over forever.
I think a sburb game'd be interesting, although the question of what species players would be (would they be humans from a different world? Trolls? an entirely new species?)
EDIT: Also, are those Scalemates exclusives, or are they past merchandise (that will likely come back at some point) from the MSPA store? BEcause they are just so adorable, and if they were available just as a standalone, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
It's going to be SBURB. The real thing. Homestuck has been a gigantic prophecy all this time, clumsily attempting to prepare its readers for the upcoming apocalypse. But its time is running out, and the Reckoning draws ever nearer. The Kickstarter will destroy mankind, and paradoxically be responsible for humanity's salvation. The backers hold the fate of the world in their wallets.
$10K to go!
EDIT: $5K to go!
EDIT2: WE DID IT MAN! WE MADE IT HAPEN!
