Upon seeing the wooden panel, Lyral simply nods.
"It seems to be the only way. Good." Making sure that Osulu is with him, he moves to open the trapdoor.
-
Re: Explorers of Acacia - Main thread
Algrith, when he opens the door, looks surprised for a moment when he sees the dogs.
"Well, this isn't good." he says, nonplussed.
Realizing that these are probably guard dogs but feeling that hurting them before they have actuall done anything, Algrith focuses his inner strength and wills an ectoplasmic slime to cover the ground in front of him.

Force Shield - 54 rounds
Inertial Armor - 4182rounds
Expeditious Retreat - 29 rounds
Casting (?) Psionic Grease on the two squares directly in front of Algrith and the two squares immediatly adjacent on his left so that neither dog is immediately in it but if they move towards Algrith they will be effected.
Psionic Grease - 7 rounds

Re: Explorers of Acacia - Main thread
Tarmikos freezes as the door is opened, revealing the animals within. As one attacks Algrith, a wave of panic rushes down his spine.
DON'T YOU -DARE- FREEZE UP HERE! DON'T LET THESE ANIMALS GET IN YOUR WAY!, he yells out in his mind, very nearly verbalizing his fears. After shaking his head, Tarmikos tightens his grip on his sword, and rushes outward. The force of his swing can be felt in the air as he thrusts his sword at the face of the first canine he can reach.

Still had Bless and ER on, though by the time this fight ends, they should probably be finished, if I'm not mistaken and they haven't ended already (and if they have, then this post is pretty much invalidated, since I wouldn't be able to reach them without that enhanced speed).
Assuming everything's fine, using Mountain Hammer on one of the dogs.

Kel looks up from petting Silvan and listening to Jorah at the new arrivals.
Kel quite calm, still in his troll form calmly addresses the group, Hello, can we help you? Are you with the city guard?
Taking 20 on the sense motive check for 23 total, trying to see if they are friendly or lying to me when they speak.

Kel looks at the group, Come now I think we can discuss this outside. I really wouldn't want anything to happen to this inn. Especially, since I am not actually renting a room here. I am sure we can come to an agreement. Maybe you could tell us where your employer is likely to be hidden away? We didn't actually manage to kill him, he and his spell caster ally teleported away before the death blow could be struck. With that Kel stands up and walks towards the group beckoning them outside.

Noticing the creatures, Lyral sighs inwardly. He continues his descent, readying himself to fight some more. Osulu would not be pleased that there were more obstacles in their way.

Kel continues to talk in a reasonable tone towards the men, Pardon if I ask but your employer didn't seem to be the trustworthy type. Are you confident he wasn't just going to bail once he got the sword he was looking for? And also do you know how much he was willing to pay you for the blade and why he was looking for it? Kel makes a mental note to ask Tarkimos about any sword that could be relevant.

Hm, and you are sure he would actually pay you for it? As I said earlier he seems to be the type to just cut and run. Unfortunately of course I don't believe any of us have that kind of money just lying around. So I am afraid we can't pay that sum to you.
