It's my High School Formal :smalltongue: I don't even dislike this highschool and its inhabitants so much. Definately not as much as my old one, anyway. It's just that I made myself a promise a long time ago, for many reasons, that I wouldn't go.
And now I have to. Four Asteriskses.

Ah. See, this is what we call a bad promise.
Like that one I made to myself to not get engaged before graduation.
Or the ones I made to myself regarding hanky and panky when I learned what the hell they were. And we all know how much I love the company nowadays. ;)
Don't worry mate, most of us make ill-advised promises to ourselves or others over the course of the years.
At least you're realizing it early.

Ah, but this is the thing. The reasons still stand, though I'm not going to divulge them. I feel absolutely no desire to go. I feel a lot of desire not to go. I have absolutely no reason to go other than to spare the feelings of my ex-girlfriend, who to be frank I should feel no obligation towards when it comes to making her not feel bad.
But, I'm going, because I can't stand a girl's tears. Goddammit.

That should mostly cover it.
Wow. I hadn't realized just how many of them were gone. It had always hit me individually.

Ah... One of these days you will learn the uses of a woman's tears... Sadly, most of them are lackadaisically aphrodisiacal.

I don't think so. In that thread Ego mentioned that she had some issues IRL. People come and go all the time for varying reasons, and I think the fact that a lot of people who were around when she was very active are now gone helped some as well.
I just have nothing better to do, so y'all are stuck with me for good :smalltongue:

YOU really need to go to a UKitP meet... but not the one in December 'cause I'm busy.
C. is now a teacher.

Charity is a teacher now? o.0
I really need to drag some money from somewhere and go to one of these UK ITP meet-ups.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
God, this is what it feels like to finally drop off the deep end isn't this? This is insanity.
My internet is several broken right now. I just cannot use the web, and because I had this site open in a tab before the web fell down I can still use it, though external sources like avatars stored on photobucket won't work.
I try and tell my housemates something is wrong and they say they have no problems whatsoever. Because they're playing online games which is somehow still allowed. They say it's my computer. No. No it isn't.
I have done everything possible to fix this, and my computer savvy friends have no clue whatsoever about what could possibly be wrong. By all rights either nothing should work or everything should. I shouldn't be down on the web but still able to use Steam.
If I call my landlord and tell what's wrong since the internet connection is down in his name and what not, he'll call everyone else to ask them if they have any problems and they'll say no and then he'll ask me if it's my problem and I'll be right back at the start.
It's just insane.

I miss seeing Phoe's posts around.
But I miss more the few days I got to spend with her, Reina and Amber at GenCon 2008.
I need to stop living so far away from all the people I like. :smallsigh:

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
I have mastered the fine arts of laziness and procrastination.
Some of you know I was gone for a week to Florida and as a result of the school I missed I now have a flood of homework that needs doing. At the beginning of this weekend I told myself I was going to get most, if not all, of it done even if it killed me. What I failed to remember was that I had recently come in to possession of two new and awesomely amazing video games, Dragon Age and Borderlands. It hit me the moment I entered my house, it was as inevitable as gravity pulling a thrown object to the ground, it was The Pull, I had to play them. Friday night I played Dragon Age until one in the morning at which time I was reluctantly forced to sleep due to the intervention of my parents. The next morning I awoke at nine and The Pull took hold of me immediately. I continued to play Dragon Age until my parents badgering to get to work on my homework became unbearable. I retreated to the basement with every intention of doing my homework, but I came across my brothers playing Borderlands and The Pull took hold of me once again. I decided that I would play for a little while just to try it, but I should have known that The Pull leaves no room for decision, only compulsion. Before I knew it the clock had struck midnight and once again my parents intervention forced me to sleep. On Sunday morning The Pull called to me with the call of a siren but there was no time for gaming, I had to go to church. Over those few hours The Pull grew and grew until it became unbearable. Upon arriving home I immediately rushed for the X Box and took up Borderlands. It was indescribable the relief I felt when I felt the controller in my hands and saw the flashing lights of the game, The Pull had been sated. Once again I played late, although it evoked the rage of my parents, and once again my homework lay forgotten. Now I sit here typing this and the pile of homework continues to grow, but something else is growing, something eternally hungry, The Pull.

Quite. Our couch is free!
(This goes to many playgrounders too! I enjoy, encourage, company!)
Also, I wonder if Charity brings randomly related pictures to his classroom regularly.

Aww...*huggles*
Yup. Once when the internets were held hostage from me, because of a RL situation, and once when I didn't feel welcome here anymore. It happens. =\

Exactly! If everything goes well, you'll have to deal with a crazy Brazilian girl by the end of the year.
Otherwise, expect me for January. It has been too long since I last gave you two a hug.

The only reason I'm here so much is that I'm terrible at detaching myself from the internet to do work.
Though actually I did recently see Rawhide appear briefly to post the most appropriate xkcd comic to the thread in question.

This post made me realize that I had not checked today.
Which led to a horrifying discovery.
My conservative religious college blocks xkcd as being "mature content".
