I don't think theres a way around that with paint, you might have to get something else. Inkscape, or the fireworks/flash trial.
Thanks!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
use inkscape. It has a black background because paint dosent to transparent backgrounds.
EDIT: Gaak! Ninja'd!
EDIT2: here is my sprite sheet

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
But after I posted the image, it became transparent, but how do I separate the sprite from the grouped image, in Inkscape? :smallconfused:

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
Hee hee the Pan-Man looks really awesome! Magnificently cute

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
The image I posted up a few posts shouldn't give you that problem Omega.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
Well, I think I added everything so far into the archives. I think I might've crapped up the order in which they should go, so it might no make much sense.
Unless somebody here as any suggestions as to how I can make the order in which the comics are better?

Do you have Jasc animation shop? If you do, open the image into it and replace the transparent opacity with white color. Save it.
Then you open it in paint and seperate the images into different files, then reopen each one into Animation shop.
Replace the whie colors with transparent opacity, then save the images.
Presto! you now have seperated sprites, usable in inkscape.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
@Nameless, PM and Q: What are you ustng for the temple backgrounds?
@Tiffanie: Yeah, Lying is right, but I'll make it non-canon if you want.
I might join the real plot at some point, preferrably after the large group of people with sleeves has broken up a bit.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
No need to make it non-cannon Ice. I'm working on a response as we speak..err.. type..you know what I mean.

Well, with my program "Corel Draw PHOTO-PAINT 8", there are certain "textures" you can add to your drawings to make them look more realistic. Thses textures are pre-programed into it, so it is still VERY limited.
I used "Marble" for the floor and "hirogryiphs" for the wall, although I don't think it turned out very well. You can't even see that writing on the wall.
And I think you should join the main plot, regardless of how many people are on the other side. You still can team up with Pokemon trainer! Plus, if memory serves, you ran up ahead in the temple. You could probably have a ton of traps or an ambush waiting for us!
Only by making yourself cooler will others want to join you, and you can only do that by posting more comics advertising yourself.
Plus, we need some kind of antoginist in the comic, and you are great for the role (temperarily.)

Also, I wrote a little something on the wiki about the new plot, but I don't think I like it that much.
What do you guys think?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI

I DISAGREE.
I used Fireworks, I had the hang of it, I think, and then I went to Inkscape, where everything suddenly looked clearer and was easier to use.
The only point I will agree with you on is spell effects/wounds.

You have longer to wait than you think. I'm waiting on someone else now before I even open your cell door.

If you click on the filler tool, some options will come up at the bottom of the screen, next to the part where you can change the color theres a part that say's "Solid", you can change that option to different textures and patterns.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
I'm joining sprite wars soon. Here's the sprite sheet of the character I'll be using. Modded to it could be used on a white background.
