BWAH-HA-HA, things will NEVER make sense again! That signpost up ahead... You have entered: The ZIMMY Zone!!

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Tom Siddell promised that this Zimmy chapter would be followed by a Coyote chapter, so if you want things to make sense*, you might wanna wait the chapter after that.
(* Side note: again, I find that things make sense already. Weirdness has its own logic; and Gunnerkrigg Court is weird but not random.)

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Actually I find Coyote arcs make sense. Just this was a bunch of just guessing at what the flunk is going on.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Really? I understand what happened this time.:smallconfused:
Spoiler
Show
Annie collapsed in a hallway, Kat was by her bedside and fell asleep. she dreamed that Reynardine, Robot and Shadow2 were there as well even though they really weren't. Zimmy and Gamma entered Kat's dream(the head-pidgeon represents Kat's inner monologue or whatever) and from there she moved to Annie's subconscious to help her. She sifted through some memories/dreams until she got down deep where she saw Annie's true form for the first time. She followed the bone spikes up to wherever deadbeat dad is hiding and knocked him out to stop him from doing the Unspecified Bad Thing that he was up to. Then she found out the hard way that Annie can move things in the real world. Also, Gamma stole the headband of +5 straightness, with a message from Zimmy that you can't always run from what scares you, which possibly refers to the fact that she hasn't dealt with her apparent confusion over her sexuality.
Spoilered for length and poor paragraph construction.

Uh.....Yeah. Not helping much.

IMO, the headband is not a question of confusion over her sexuality. It's a question of appearances. A mask of her own. Something to avoid repeats of the Paz incident.
Kat has long suffered from ostracism by her peers, Annie being the first friend she made. She doesn't like the idea of people gossiping about her and finding new reasons to shun her more.

How does that conflict with what I said? :smallconfused:

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Aw, that's SWEET.
Jack's got a real problem here.
And the red highlights are back in Zimmy's hair. :smallconfused:

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
And, of course, the Zimmy arc is followed by a bonus comic that makes only slightly more sense.
Still funny though.
Does that person have an official name?

Her name is Tea.

Reminds me of Mirage from the Incredibles.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Given how many secrets are floating around GC, I'm kind of worried about what would be a Great secret.
Maybe this is Coyote's secret he said he'd tell Annie one day...
And what kind of skull is that?

That's a natural outcome of skipping to the last page of a thread without reading any of it. :smalltongue:

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Wow. This is a GORGEOUS and heart-warming page! I want to hug Ysengrin too, now...

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Yeah, I love the art in today's comic, too. Beautiful stuff.
But I can't shake this nagging feeling that something bad is going to happen very soon...

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Well Tom has said in interviews when asked that neither of the Forest or the Court are the "Good Guys" in their conflict and both have some nasty skeletons in their closets. We've seen one of the court's (Jeane) and gotten a glimpse of one of the Forest's (the Glass-Eyed-Men throwing Shadow2 out of the forest for not hating humans). The latter could be it. Anne knows of the Glass-Eyed-Men's hatred from Shadow2's story but might not have really had it hit home just how much they must hate her personally given all the personal attention she gets from Coyote. What with Coyote ignoring them for humans being the basis of their hate and all.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
MORE wonderful art! These two are getting along so well. This is such a happy time.
Obviously it's not going to last. :smallfrown:

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Haha, I knew he cared. He just doesn't want to admit it.
Annie really needs a haircut or something. Pretty soon she'll be tripping on it.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Ysengrin will be one of my favorites if he keeps this up. *d'awww*

Love Annie's >:( face!
Coyote's giant monster face? Not so much.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 3: Mystery Solved!
Good grief Coyote. Creepy as ever.
