Not sure if we start with LOS. I'll play my round 1 as if they block LOS, though.
don't that would be a very large advantage to jim then if they don't block los, i've got the question in waiting room. should get an answer on this fairly quickly. assuming they don't block los, i think youve got a 1 round ko coming to ya.
i know, and if they do, your never going to have a target to fire a spell at this whole match. soo it's kinda important to know if they block los/loe isnt it

but an at will fog cloud SLA is :smallsmile: gota love 20 foot radius spreads that block los.

We're 120 feet distant. Well in range of Kelgore's Firebolt. Provided LOS exists (it should):
Cast: Kelgore's Firebolt (CL 5)
Sudden Maximize, Sudden Empower, Overcome Resistance.
30 damage + one half of [roll0], Reflex DC 15 half. This treats your fire resistance as if it were 10 points lower (minimum 0).
Caster Level breakdown:
CL 1 (Wizard)
CL +2 (Bloodline of Fire - Fire spells)
CL +1 (Spellgifted - Evocation)
CL +1 (Energy Affinity - Fire)
Coulda sworn BoF was only a +1 cl, but I digress, half of that is still over jims measly 12 hp. And will drop him.
Just re-looked it up to verify. Player's Guide to Faerun, p. 35. +4 save vs fire effects and +2 CL with spells that have the Fire descriptor.
Ya pyhrric just burned the dragonfire adept :smallbiggrin:
Perhaps a rematch later this round once there's more money to be played with haha, and initiatives within jims reach hehe
It's a well built character. I recommend when you get your next round, to look into a CL 1 tattoo of Chameleon. +10 to hide, and if you can manage to get behind a tree and breath of night, you can use the concealment for hiding, until you get into range of breathing.
Ya chameleon is nice. Still gotta survive this inital round against all the casters in this round hehe.
Well, there's me and two other full caster types (and one bard)... And they all allow will saves to negate their abilities. You've got good saves, so you should be more or less ok vs them, even if you don't get the drop on them.
Ya I was hopin to get the barbarien, or bard first round, shouldn't have too much trouble vrs those two, scale killers gonna hurt, but only cause jim counts as dragon for his abilities, I was hopin to have money to spend on a pot of invis or the like for your guy, 5 hp jim could burn through, but alas you won initiative, and I feel not many chars this round have a chance, if you win initiative.

Ya dosnt work vrs spells. I debated pots of spell resistance and hoping you rolled low, but your maximize killed that, looked at hiding, but my hide skill sucked, settled on smokesticks and a tinder twig to hop skip and run towords you, but that woulda needed to go first. Problem was most things that can protect vrs your nuke take at the least a swift action. But alas, im sure il run into it again in the future. Till then gl.
Spell resistance? You mean energy resistance? My fire beam ignores Fire Resistance 10.
