"Oh, you know. Backstabbing, destroying enemy houses, intrigue... I'm sure you hear it all the time. I had no idea who or what drow are before coming to the Nexus, of course. But once I did get here, it turned out your race is pretty famous for it."

Another chuckle from the drow. He owed his very existence to the destruction of another House. "I cannot deny any of that, I am afraid. To advance in our society, one must remove those ahead of you, in one way or another."
Talina once again arrives, presumably still accompanied by the Raindog, Kallista, and Nycca.
Much like before, she looks around the bar, examining the other patrons, though this time it's considerably warier.
Kallista will presumably ride in on the dog!
Nycca returns, presumably with Talina, Kallista, and the rainbow puppy dog thingy.
Chas observes the people as they come in, stroking at his thick stubble - verging on beard - as he puffs on his stinky skunky cigar. His eyes are rather red and squinty, and hes very calm and laid back in his seat.
Kallista will manage clamber onto a seat! What was the police station like?
Nycca nods, eager to hear about it.
Talina shrugs.
"They were nice enough. Took my story, got me set up in a fairly nice waiting room once they had, then sent me on my way once they'd figured out what the plan was."
Cool...
While that happened, Kallista was talking to this cute girl and got her number.
She giggles.
Kallista blushes deeply, but stays silent.
If he is within hearing distance, Chas begins to eavesdrop as soon as he hears the word "police station," and begins to look around the room.
Chas can be within earshot, as far as I'm concerned. Not like they're trying to be quiet, that I know of.
Talina grins, ruffling the gnome's hair, if Kallista doesn't seem to mind.
"Good for you, Kal. What was she like, other than cute?"
Upon hearing Talina ask this question, the rainbow puppy perks his ears up, rears onto his hind legs, and lays a forepaw on Talina's stomach.
Kallista blushes again. U-um, tall, orange hair...? A box on her arm?
Upon seeing the dog, her ears twitch slightly. Oh yeah, also p-pre-pregnant. But not with someone.
Samantha smiles at this and nods deeply, listening "I hear you there. " She takes another swig from her drink, then asks for a refill.
Meanwhile, Samuel, upon seeing the return of the other healer and the little goblin girl looks over casually, as people do, eavesdropping slightly.
Angie much like Samuel has been doing a good amount of eavesdropping and watching and has been keeping an discreet eye on Samuel. She tries to use her empathic senses to make sure that she is seeing brotherly love between him and Samantha. That is the kind of vibe she was picking up, so she figured she could check up as she walks over to him.
"Hi there, care if I join you for a drink?"
Samuel looks curiously at the new lady. Odd, he hadn't really noticed her. Not sure how to respond, and being very unfortunate in the social graces, Samuel shrugs casually and pushes back a seat at his table, after which he continues as if he were simply reading.
Angie has a tendency to be fairly unobtrusive, though she stopped using her empathic power to make people ignore her a few years back. She is a slight little thing using a cane to help her walk. She gratefully takes a seat and orders herself a drink.
"So I am guessing you know that healer Samantha right?"
Seems she is going to try to get him to talk until he tells her to be quiet or to go away.
Samuel nods, trying not to offend the lady. before saying casually (without even looking up from his book) "Yes. She is my sister."
"The Aules Empire, it's, uh.. It's hard to describe. I don't have aught to compare, but... Turning his gaze down to the tar-like stuff that he ordered, the wizard decides he'd rather continue talking than drink and starts again. "I guess I could tell you a little of our history, if you want?"
Samantha shrugs casually and laughs lightly "Well, it'd be a shame for this conversation to die, and it certainly seems your more capable to talk of past events than I am, so why not?" She grins as she says this and bats her eyelashes ever so slightly.
"Ah good. She seems to be quite a healer, and I was wondering. Do you think she could learn something by watching someone heal, even if that person had no idea what they are doing magically speaking?"
And while Angie carries herself as some one much older, she is probably only 24 or so. She starts to wonder if she is actually annoying him. But doesn't seem to care much at this point.
Shayan finally works the splinter from out between her teeth with a mild wince, allowing her cheeks to knit themselves back together, "I'm fine. The most useful part of my own symbiosis is the regeneration that the plant shares with me. I can heal from anything other than wounds that scar over instantly, such as burns, and even those can be remedied if I scrape away the scars, though that is a rather painful process." She looks down at her clothes, as if she's considering whether or not she should have them mended.
"That's why I decided to pelt him with the furniture. Fire and I are not the best of friends. I'm afraid I'll have to change out of this outfit though. Care to accompany me back to my labs? There's not much more to test here." She gestures to the smouldering rubble that their corner of Trog's has been turned into.
Samuel smirks as he raises an eyebrow at the woman. He can tell she's young, but also injured, also that she's wanting to ask him something but beating around the bush instead. He shrugs after a moment "I suppose she could, though I'm not entirely positive. May I query as to why you are so curious about my sister?"
"She seemed to have known a lot of ways of healing. And I was wondering if she had seen anyone who heals like I do. I have only meet one other in my life. I figured even if she didn't see anything maybe she could learn a thing or two from seeing what I do.
She shrugs a bit taking her drink and sipping it. There may be even more to it then that, but Angie isn't bring that up yet.
Samuel takes a sip of tea before casually waving a hand to his sister "By all means, go over to her and ask. I'm not sure if she could aid you, but if you deem it worth a try, than why not? She seems a little preoccupied right now, though not terribly so. But simply to sate my curiosity, may I ask by what means you heal?"
"I somehow heal the injury while taking on part of the pain on myself. I am not sure what the fraction really is, but the more severe the injury the more pain I get."
She shrugs like it is no big deal.
