Actually, they're 3rd level. Steve was kind enough to let them start at 2nd level in an effort to avoid one shot kills. He's not as evil as they make him out to be.

 Steve reminds me of one of my favorite college professors.
Dr. MacDonald ALWAYS wore a dark print shirt with a Chinese looking design on it. At first I thought it was only one shirt (black, with white ring looking things), but it turns out he had several in dark colors (black, dark brown, dark green, dark grey, very dark red).
I even ran into him once in the parking lot, stripping off his "regular" shirt to put on one of his "lucky teaching shirts!"
Anyways, the new story is looking good. keep it up! And try not to overwork yourself on the strip, your regular job, AND the joys of fatherhood/being a good husband!
Thanks for the continuing kind words and positive feedback!
I hope that you enjoy where the story is headed.
Um, is anybody else getting this error when they try to go to the comic?

Is it just me or is this a problem with the website?
I was having that problem, but its working now.
The mail server had not been purging the old stuff, and had been silently bloating up. Naturally, we hit the disk space threshold while I was gone on vacation. The issue has been resolved.
Thanks for the kind words, iidesu!
Today's post puts us back to regular strips, incidentally.
Well, at least one regular strip.
While waiting patiently, a few comments:
While the gnolls were clearly agressive, the minotaur seemed... surprising passive. Maybe it was the art style, but he looked more like a friendly milk cow than a raging bull. Makes me wonder if the minotaur was trying to protect the girls from the raiding gnolls.
The art style is coming along well. No LONG arms or other oddities this time. And I like the way the CHARACTERS are talking more, and being individual from their PLAYERS. Less puppetlike, if that makes any sense.
Looking forward to the next installment.
Thanks for the update. I was wondering what had happened to this.
Woot! Filler Strip, and a Promise for Friday!
Check out "My Little Pony" in the background. :smallwink:
Yep, we're back again. As back as we get.
I am really sorry, folks. As those of you who, for some reason (head trauma? masochism?) continue to be regular readers of Loaded Dice already know, I tend to go through these depressive periods where I just can't seem to do anything but put one foot in front of the other.
I'm back, now, and am honestly working on a buffer to help offset the next time that I'm an idiot.
New (regular) strip will be up on Friday!
Brittany has started a new job and her time has been somewhat limited. She says that this won't be the very best strip, art-wise, that she's ever done, but that we will have an update on time.
Did it post late in the day?
Yep.
However, it did, in fact, post!
Glad to see you're back! I recently did an archive binge and am loving things so far. I really enjoy showing the players and their characters, it's quite interesting. Keep up the good work!
Ah, yes. The missed clue. Missed because you were too busy doing something else...
For the record (again), I really apreciate all of you who continue to support Loaded Dice in spite of my flakiness. And for those of you who bump update threads like this one... just, wow. I guess it seems like a little thing, but it means a lot to me.
Thank you!
Although Loaded Dice hasn't updated for a few days, be sure to check out the Thanksgiving Special on Myth Breakers!
Oh, and there is a new strip, Floyd Hobard, Professional DM and Gamemaster. It's only on strip 2, but it shows potential.
dusting off my old laptop and looking at my past collection of links...
I have to wonder: has this comic now officially gone the way of the dodo?
