Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
On the whole negativity conversation: You guys aren't really being negative, you just tell it how it is. Bleach has gone to crap, that's no ones fault but Kubo. I'd rather be here where everyone tells the truth and states the reasons they think it's bad than some mythical forum I just made up where all they do is praise it and say that Bleach is the best and can never do any wrong.

And the thing is, even today Bleach still has its moments. Remember before the whole asspull-clone-Bach thing? We were all praising Old Man Yama and actually enjoying the fight.
Just because the author is a complete troll doesn't mean we can't find some enjoyment in their work. See the creators of 8-Bit Theater and Homestuck.
EDIT: That title was tied with a couple others.
I think the three titles should get a quick vote.
Text 1 for Oh, Bach This!
Text 2 for We Got Aizen in the Bach of our Heads
Text 3 for We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
I think the three titles should get a quick vote.
I'm personally for "We Got Aizen in the Bach of our Heads"
(Texts 2)

Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
well, I just like baby bach ribs :smallwink:
on the good moments, I hope a nice one is on it's way in which we get shown that Yama-jii reboots and lays waste to bach

Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
He's rather thoroughly dead, though. Literally cut in half diagonally, had his arm severed, and then apparently exploded. It is, to my knowledge, the most complete and thorough demise in Bleach yet. Then again, until recently nobody died in Bleach anyway.

Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
Well. I still believe in the phoenix motif (it would make sense for the strongest fire zanpakuto to be a phoenix, even though this has been foreshadowed in the muramasa anime filler). He ain't dead until John cleese says he's restin' or hibernating.

Yamamoto is dead? He's not dead. He's living it up and he's laughing at us!

Sorry, but we already had Phoenix in second season, remember?

Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
To answer someone's question from the last thread, Mayuri HAS done something.
When it was seen that the balance between the two sides were getting uneven, he slaughtered a whole butt load of civilians.
However, since the loss of balance was on THEIR side, killing all the civilians LITERALLY MADE THINGS WORSE. Not that Kubo has noticed this, I believe.

A shame that Zanpakutou is dead, huh? A ten-thousand-strong weapon would've been mighty useful.
But I'm hoping for a new meme for Yama - "Since when were you under the impression that those were my bankai's only techniques?"
-
Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
Simply here to vote:
We Got Aizen in the Bach of our Heads
And.... I'm pretty frustrated to see that AGAIN we had a big Yama fight that end with an "LOL you are strong but your strenght serve nothing". Why on Earth force the fight (storywise) with Yama and end it like this?
Why?
To show that Bach is strong? ALREADY GOT IT.
To show how WEAK is Kenpachi? Thank you for pissing me off!
To show...what?
Oh, found: to find a way to allow Ichigo to fight the already killed shinigami!

Wasn't the spirit of the million-zanpakuto execution blade thing way back a kind of phoenix?

Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
and again #2 and #3 are equal, next vote will be tiebreaker and decisive. (may need a day to get adjusted since my internets are scarce)
@MB: I don't know, but I do know that usually (warning, conjecture incoming) the phoenix is the epitome of fire (eternal even). It woudl make sense for yama-jii to make a comeback through the fire and the flames and indeed carry on.
-
Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
Hopefully, because then he can show that while swords may be made of metal, his zanpakuto is made of Metal.

And, as we all know, no one can destroy The Metal.
...Perhaps his death was necessary for him to assume position as Ultimate Badass Apocalyptic God-Captain of Squad 0?
-
Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
If a character showed up with heavy metal powers I would forgive Bleach everything.

What about Ulquiorra? He got his arm chopped off, regrew it, got it chopped off again, took a cero to the face and organs, got his horn chopped in half and then disintegrated into nothing.
Or that one arrancar that Kurotsuchi froze in time that would feel the pain of his sword in his heart for like a thousand years?

Silly maximus, villains don't count! :smalltongue:
Also, are all Hollows who die purified or only the ones slain with a zanpakuto? If the latter, then the spiritual balance of the worlds is even more screwed up and not even thanks to the Quincies. If the latter, it's a sad thing we haven't yet seen any of the old villains as purified Pluses.

Only those killed by Zanpakuto are purified.
I'll be perfectly honest, I expected from the instant they explained how Hollows and Pluses worked, that this would happen one day. Like, Ichigo is on the ropes, when suddenly a mysterious black haired man flies in. "Drip Down, ACID RAIN!" and Orohime's brother just appears out of nowhere and saves him.

That might be the case if Kubo didn't have a paper shredder mistakenly labeled "Supporting Characters Go Here"

Dropping in to vote on thread title: We got Aizen in the Bach of our Heads!

I'm not sure the inverse, that Bleach is the worst and can only do wrong is any more true.
I still enjoy Bleach for what is. And I don't think I need to defend that.

The inverse is not any more true, I just meant that I'd rather have some actual discussion on the flaws Bleach has than happy happy fun time no negatives. At least here you can praise and criticize freely.
I still love Bleach, maybe not for the story any more so much, but I enjoy the characters and just the fun of men with big swords fighting other men with swords that have magical powers. That's cool to me, it appeals to me.

Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs get's my vote. The time of former villains is over. Now it's time to look towards the end of the manga and keep our Aizen the prize.
-
Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
... I think the Baby Bach Ribs title pulled an Aizen.
"Since when did you think I didn't already have more votes?"
Bleach still has its moments of crazy fun. Aizen and Tsukishima are two of my favorite villains in all of anime just because of how they troll their opponents with their powers.
-
Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
Tsukishima is basically one of the best villians, ever. He's always been one of the best villians and he's totally awesome.
In all seriousness though, I really do love him. His abuse of his power to put traps exactly where Byakuya is stepping is ingenious.

Reminds me of this.

Re: Bleach VI: We Want Our Baby Bach Ribs
Tsukishima really was a fun villain, in a "I really hope he gets his face caved in" sort of way.

Remember Szayel? Yeah, the espada guy with the 'Rising Phoenix' chapter, and reincarnation/rebirth abilities ala-jeebus? I think we've had more than enough of that.

Hollow regeneration seems to be limited to...you guessed it. Hollows. And it is also limited to non-internal organ wounds too, methinks.
At this point, I'd rather old man Yama stay dead. No need to kick the dog further by reviving him only to be ROFL-stomped again. (yes, there's still Unohana and Orihime who *could*/*might* be able to do such things)
I dunno about you guys, but I'm currently enjoying the past bleach chapters (sans the Bach-kawarimi-no-jutsu and the implication of Kenpachi being off-paneled by a subordinate who happened to be the brother of the one he himself off-paneled). I actually find Bleach more interesting somehow than "the other two" at the moment.
