Elan's not in this one.

I didn't see Elan.
EDIT: Damn you forum!
Oops. Fixed!
847: Belkar Bitterleaf, Durkon Thundershield, Girard Draketooh (as statue), Haley Starshine, Kilkil, Malack, Nale, Roy Greenhilt, Sabine, Tarquin, Zz'dtri
That's certainly a lot of major players in one comic.

I assume Tarquin's Pterodactyl will get its second appearance in the next comic.
I think Tarquin's pterosaur may actually be undead, for the record.
I don't know if we ever discussed this, but what are we going to do about the Kickstarter PDFs? Will the appearances be considered the same as bonus strips/prequel strips from the graphic novel compilations?
I assume that we'll be treating them the same as the dead-tree books: They count, in red. They will be full stories, after all.
I like how Kilkil and Yukyuk are close in appearances and are sort of duking it out.
848: Belkar, Durkon, Elan, Haley, Kilkil, Malack, Mr. Scruffy, Nale, Roy, Sabine, Tarquin, Tarquin's Pterodactyl, Yukyuk, Zzdtri
Big cast here.
We might have his corpse in another comic or two.
It's a Pteranodon! (Or a similar pterosaur)
A pterodactyl would never be able to lift Tarquin (without magic)
Size of pterodactyl (green being a juvenile):
Size of Pteranodon (Orange being Female):
Technically, so far in the comic it's only been called a "dinosaur".
Which is inaccurate. But I doubt Haley put ranks in Knowledge(Paleontology).
Good job with the thread though guys. Looks nice
Don't forget "Dominated" for Yukyuk.

Hi.
I have a complete transcript of the Online-Comics 0-848 (the collaborative german translation, but still: complete!). There are a few issues and incompletions (like sound-effects), but I'm working to iron them out.
Every speech bubble of a character is handled in a new line with "Charakter: ", as are small one-liners like the demonroaches' comments, so it is easy to filter for the string "Roy: ", which indicates that a new speech bubble begins.
My thoughts now were: Why not make a "Number of Charakter Speech-Bubbles" thread, so that people can compare the number of 2000+ lines of Roy/Elan/Haley with the 800 lines of Durkon, 700 lines of Redcloak, 600 lines of Xykon, 150 lines of Shojo, 16 lines of Yukyuk... you get the idea? The Polearm Merchant has more bubbles than Zz'dtri, by the way, so it is interesting to compare with the Number of Charakter Appearances.
Could this thing be included in this thread, maybe in the reserved post, or should I open a new thread for the matter?
849: Belkar Bitterleaf, Durkon Thundershield, Elan, Haley Starshine, Kilkil, Malack, Mr. Scruffy, Nale, Roy Greenhilt, Sabine, Tarquin (as Thog), Tarquin's Pteranodon, Thog, Zz'dtri
There's a couple of stray tags on the list at 14 and 15.
Should Tarquin as "Thog" qualify as an 'interesting variant'? It seems to blur the line between magical transformation and clothing change.
We've counted mundane disguises before (e.g. Nale as Elan, Belkar as Shojo), so this should be no different.
Tarquin's line in panel 8 seems to indicate he's changed his armor before... if that's the case, is his red armor and spiky helmet really his "real" armor? If not, it's difficult to say if this is a magical disguise or just a clothing change.
If he's impersonating Thog, it gets counted until such time as he ends the impersonation, is revealed, or leaves.

Does Tarquin impersonating Thog also count as an appearance by Thog? I'm not clear on that.
Did Nale impersonating Elan count as an appearance by Elan?
