"What does it do?" Quinn asks, curious!
"Basically, you mimic the Essence flows of Creation itself. The effects are many and varied."
Having finished talking to Zero, Sophie can be found by Irene, once more sitting in front of her cabin. This time on a chair.
Bat's my favorite, yes. I really like spicy bat wings my mom does. I've never eaten pork, though.
[Elm Cabin - Kirk's Room]
A Kirk plotclone returns to his cabin, frowning slightly that he'd left the door open. On e inside he gives the room a glance, to see if anything is out of place. He doesn't expect anything, so a thorough search isn't done. That done, Kirk grabs his laptop and sits at the table.
[Elm Cabin - Kirk's Room]
Right, so it is Kirk's room. Michalson makes a mental note to tell Magtok about those "Objects". Might be relevant. For now, Gink keeps sitting in his hiding place. It would take Kirk to talk to someone again to figure out how far he is down the path of redemption.
[Entrace]->[Chesnut Cabin]
Andy returns from his track and heads for his room if nothing happens on the way .
Irene floats up then.
"Hey."
[Elm Cabin - Reinholdt's Room]
Reinholdt's gotten good at not shouting out loud with use of the Liquid Agony, but the twitching on his bed still makes a little ruckus. Someday he won't even do that.
He'll have to up the dose at that point though.
[Maple Cabin]
Oh, hello Irene. Any news? Sophie looks up.
[Maple Cabin]
"Well I talked to Kirk and he largely is here feeling bad about people he hurt over the years with his actions. So I asked him to write some ghost letters to them, explaining how he feels now. Should help him face some stuff, I hope. How about Zero?"
[Maple Cabin]
Not a bad idea; maybe it'll work. As for Zero, I talked to him and, without going into the details, he feels bad because once he killed two people who were threatening a child he thought of as his own. The child fled him because of it. I told him to work on keeping his temper in check and try to contact this child again.
[Maple Cabin]
Irene blinks.
"That seems... huh." Well not the usual case anyways.
"Anyways, you were mentioning that you wanted to get Kirk doing something productive but didn't know what, right?"
[Maple Cabin]
Yes. I thought about getting him to work in a soup kitchen, charity, or something... but it's too small-time, really.
[Maple Cabin]
"I was thinking a charity too. But something a little bigger. See, I'm thinking we do a Charity Event. A large event where the GLoG members, redeemees in particular, do various things to earn money for charity. For example, Kirk is extremely good at playing the saxophone, so he would be providing the music to the event. Other members can do various things that they're good at and like, but are often overlooked. Throw in some facepainting and some games and there's plenty to do that has them helping others. Granted, there's some kinks to work out. Not everyone will be comfortable having their children around and stuff. Though you couldn't tell that from the number that live here." Bunch of kids living with a bunch of criminals that aren't locked in jail largely because they're here. Strange times.
Kitchen
No one has told the Applehills about the criminal rehabilitation, or they'd probably take their children elsewhere.
"I'll make you a pork sandwich and you can make me a bat sandwich!" Lily suggests to Brinika, excited about trying new food.
[Kitchen]
Sure! Brinika's ears perk up.
[Maple Cabin]
Sophie considers it. Hmmm. Yes, sounds like an interesting idea. We should run it by the council first, of course, but it may do some good. I agree that we'd have to provide some solid security, though.
[Maple Cabin]
There were plenty of kids before the Applehills, but that's Irene's point exactly.
"Of course. And all the money raised needs to go to some charity. We need to figure out which one. But by all means, let the council now. If you see them." She doesn't expect this to happen overnight.
"If it gets approved, we have to talk to the different people and see what they'd like to do and stuff too."
Kitchen
Well nobody expects Toby and Quinn to make rational parenting decisions. :smalltongue: And except for Brinika, I don't think any of the other children have parental figures or guardians.
Lily excitedly starts making a pulled pork sandwich, with freshly baked bread and lots of toppings. Yummy! "Do you want barbecue sauce? I like it better with just a splash of vinegar, but Tito likes it best with barbecue sauce. Oh I know. I'll put some in a bowl next to it, so you can try dipping the sandwich in the barbecue to see which way you like it best!"
(( Sorry for barging in on an IC thread with an OOC comment, but seeing as I am technically a member...
I just stopped by to check in on the playground. It's been three years since I last posted here, and I wanted to see if GLoG was still around. I'm not sure if anyone who is here still remembers me, but I was a GLoG member a long time ago. One of the founders, actually. I posted the very first GLoG thread, as well as the next seven. When I saw that now, three years later, GLoG was still active, and on its 73rd thread nonetheless, I just had to post and say hi.
Hopefully the Good League of Good is just as sporky now as ever. :smallwink:
~~Haleyintraining))
Whoa. It's Haleyintraining! I remember her. Welcome back!
((Hi hi hi! I remember you! Yes, it's still going! The Spork of Power was destroyed many threads ago, and the base was destroyed, and they moved to a campground, but we're still here!))
HAAAALEY! You going to stay?
[Maple Cabin]
Sophie nods.
Let's be on lookout for the Council members, then.
[Kitchen]
Um, sure, yeah. Brinika has no idea what any of this means. She herself begins to fix a bat sandwich.
Kitchen
And sandwich swapping time!
The pork sandwich should taste delicious to a human / halfling. No idea if a goblin will like it.
Lily takes a large bite of bat sammich.
(( Not staying, just visiting. And I probably should go now and let you all get back to your sandwiches. :smallwink: ))
Well hi anyways. You're always welcome here.
[Maple Cabin]
Irene nods.
"Alright then." And unless Sophie has something to add, she'll go look for council members.
Probably ends up running into Reelshka and explaining it all to her. :smalltongue:
[Kitchen]
The bat sandwich will taste strangely; quite unlike pork, beef or chicken. The meat is rather tough - an easy job for sharp goblin teeth, but less so for a halfling.
Brinika herself munches on the pork sandwich. It's tasty, she says in between bites. Strange, but tasty.
[Main Cabin]
Reelshka is asleep there. Should Irene want to wake her up, explanations could be handwaved, as otherwise it'd be boring.
(( Yeah... I'm still here. Three years later and still obsessed. Nothing ever changes. So, what has everyone been up to? What's been happening around the playground? Morty, did you used to be Mort and a member of the Neutral Organization, or am I thinking of someone else? Happyturtle, I am deeply saddened about the loss of the Spork, and offer my most sincere condolences. :smallfrown: ))
Kitchen
It's a pork sandwich. :smalltongue:
"Same here," Lily says with a giggle, between bites. She has to chew quite a lot to get through the tough meat. "I bet it'd make a good stew, with some marinade to make the meat more tender."
((Yeah, that's me. And I still keep NO going. My character's running it now.))
[Kitchen]
You think? I've never thought about it. But my teeth are sharp, so I don't need it.
