Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
Did Lying create the Monogoblins? I thought it was Threeshades.

I'd ask Lying first, but it would probably be ok.
Let's all talk about him like he's not in the thread...
Q, Monogoblins are tiny goblins with one eye and huge ears. They serve Plotus, and like their master, ahte Plot and the Plotgoblins.

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
I thought Narrator did it, when he introduced his character.

Good idea, he won't notice anyway. :smalltongue::smallwink::smallbiggrin:

Hey! That was my line! :smalltongue:
Pretty sure this is his intro comic.

Which was why it had quote-thingies.
Anyways, here is the race.
Monogoblin
- +2 Intelligence, +2 Dexterity, -4 Strength, -2 Constitution: Monogoblins are clever, and agile due to their size, but they are weak and frail due to their size.
- Tiny: As Tiny creatures, a Monogoblin gains a +2 size bonus to Armor Class, a +2 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +8 size bonus on Hide checks, but he uses smaller weapons than humans use, and his lifting and carrying limits are one half of those of a Medium character.
- Monogoblins have the Goblinoid subtype.
- Monogoblin base land speed is 20 feet.
- Darkvision 60 ft.
- +2 racial bonus to Spot checks: Despite their lack of depth perception, they have remarkably keen eyesight.
- +4 racial bonus to Listen checks: Monogoblins have incredible hearing, thanks to their large ears.
- Weapon proficiencies: Monogoblins are proficient with all types of cameras.
[*[Decapitation Survival: Monogoblins can survive 1d3 weeks, even if their heads should be cut off. - Recording: Monogoblins are immune to all forms of persuasion that would force them to impart or forget what they have observed against their will.
- Automatic Languages: Common, Goblin. Bonus Languages: Any (other than secret languages, such as Druidic).
- Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass Monogoblin takes an experience point penalty, his or her highest-level class does not count.

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
Note; I really don't like the person who made all the comics with the links of http://www.photobucket.com/albums/x203/tomshaer/; basically, every one of them is broken! :smalltongue:
Edit; Narrator could also survive as just a head, but that might have just been him.

Oops. It wasn't just him, I remember the comic now. He was talking at the party in Salmonville about it. I'll fix it.

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
All this talk of monogoblins reminds me of my first attempt to join ABR (554 and 556 in the archive).
...
My artwork was horrible back then...

Judging by the name, it's Nameless.
How ironic.

I have. It makes more sense to enjoy the comics before trying to add some.

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
Well I've read a lot of the archive. I haven't read them all, but I think I know enough to get by. Especially because if you don't know something people will just tell you and give you a link to the comic anyway and you have no real need to read EVERYTHING. :smalltongue:
-
Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
It helps when you try to make comics though.

I've never really found so far that I couldn't make a comic because I didn't read enough in the archive. :smalltongue:
-
Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
You know BRC, I really like this old comic of yours. (pretty sure it's yours anyway)

I wasn't talking about 'need'. However, I think that all the archives should be read simply because they're a great read. For the same reason I read 'Remember', 'WTWU', and all the other great webcomics.

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
Thought I'd write down all the races that still don't have their stats written up:
Arcane Incarnation.
Flying Landfish.
'Grays', whatever they are.
Nothing--although since it seems like Nowhere was destroyed, they probably no longer exist (although I might have seen a comic where Nobody said that Nowhere was still around, I can't remember)--
Pikalite.

Well, earlier there was a flashback where The Gremlin remembers that if he ever loses one eye, he will be extremely weakened. What Arendil did was basically setting all his abilities back to what they were before he died and became reliant on the mask.

This comic?

The Nothings are kind of difficult to explain. They're constructs made out of the essence of Nowhere, which is also called Nothing. (I told you this was gonna be difficult) They're like summons, except instead of calling them from another realm, Nobody makes them. And when he doesn't need them, he unmakes them. So currently, no Nothings exist, but Nobody can create them at will.
Everybody get that?

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
Gray
Medium Size
Ability Modifiers: +2 Constitution, -2 Wis. The gray's have developed a strong immune system and toughness over the course of their lives, as well as from the centuries of torture at the hands of tyrants. Gray's are often out of tune with other's of Avbaroy, due to the lack of contact with other races.
Gray's gain four extra skill points at first level, and one extra skill point every level thereafter.
Special Traits: Ageless, Gray's stop aging after they achieve maturity.
Low-Light Vision.
+2 On saves vs Poison.
The gray's have always been enslaved, for as long as anyone can remember. They make ideal test subjects, their natural toughness and long life spans help. Currently the only nation enslaving them are the Moon Elf Empire, most work in the coal mines. Centuries ago other nations have used them as slaves, such as some rebel factions of Arcania, the humans of Blauport, and even the pikalites.

Fix'd!
I was an editor for my high school newspaper.

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
I'll admit that I have not read the entire archive.
This is because I've read every post from all of the ABR 3-7 threads, as well as most of threads 1 and 2. The first time I tried to join (as I said before, my artwork was horrible at the time) The archive hadn't even been up a full week.
-
Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
Abot the Monogoblins:
Narrator first introduced them to ABR. I gave them a spot in Plot-mythology as the servants of Plotus.

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff

give me my phylactri Gremlin

Re: ABR Disscusion thread XII: Not to be confused with important stuff
Then why, Keveak, do you constantly forget about things already in place, such as God-modding, Random-killing in canon, and just asking "can I join your team plz plz plz" rather than just saying "I was already working for/with this person (with their permission)", or "Threeshades killed my family," etc. The archive has examples for joining...
EDIT: And MR, your character is a pancake... Why?
You also cannot reality shift into the citadel.... Ugh.... I feel like a broken record...
