Any progress is PROGRESS! So glad to hear the cast is off. It will take a bit, but glad to hear your thumb is moving, even if just a little bit. In time, it will get better.

Glad to know you're recovering, Rich. This is probably the right time to repeat what we already told you a month ago: take it easy, we will wait. Don't force things and give yourself all the time you need to recover properly.
D.
Thanks for the update!
It'd be a shame to lose such a talented artist and writer because you tried to get moving again so quickly. We're perfectly content with waiting! Glad you're getting progress. =]
Thanks for the update Giant! I was starting to get worried. We will wait for you to get well as long as it takes!
I'm a musician, so I understand how horrible losing mobility in your hand must be. I hope all of our good wishes will help you through such a tough time. I'll be praying for your complete (and swift!) recovery. :smallfrown:
Excuse me, how did Rich's hand got injured?
He cut his hand on broken glass, bad enough to need emergency surgery.

+1 to the title of the thread!
I hope everything works out, Rich.
Get well, Rich's Thumb. Take your time. We'll all be waiting for you to recover completely.
Hey Rick
A friendly get well from a Dane stuck in Sweden
Your cartoons are loved all over the world, so make sure you recover properly so you don't get lasting injuries from trying to get back to fast :)
~Jesper
Dear Rich,
I wish you the very best for the days and weeks ahead. Surely this is a difficult time for you, and through your great art and creativity, we are many who feel that in a way, your troubles are somewhat our own.
A very warm get-well from Edhelras in Norway - and my sympathies to those struck by the terrible storms in USA and the Carribean.
I remember when I broke the pinky on my left hand (my writing hand!) and had a cast for 3 weeks. No writing, no typing, no video games...When they took it off, I could barely move that finger and the other they anchored it to.
Don't worry. Take your time and do your physical therapy. It will get better.
Take care, Rich.
Take your time and heal well Giant!
Also, be careful not to over use your lefty. Seriously, I cut off the tip of my right index finger and while that was healing I overused my left hand to the point of almost hurting it. So please take it all in moderation.
It's good to hear you are slowly recovering. Hopefully we'll see a full recovery from you. Get well soon.
Vaarsuvius' Cantrip of Greater Mobility Restoration!
Seriously, thanks much for the update, and glad there's some progress. I can only imagine how frustrating this has been for you. Keep up with the therapy, and, agreeing with everybody else, take your time getting better. We're eager for you to be able to get back to work, but probably nowhere nearly as eager as YOU are. Don't rush it. We'll be here.
Great to hear that the recovery is progressing... and yes, no skimping on the therapy. That's literally a million-dollar hand you're rehabbing.
All I can say RE: the progress is this...
Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle, yeah!
Best of wishes! I've broken my arm before (three seperate occasions) and have needed to learn skill: bend elbow. Take it easy and before you know it you'll be moving that thumb all over the place. And, who knows, maby this experience will give rise to new material / side story arc for the comic. Keep on keepin on!
I wish your recovery is super fast, but I am more than willing to wait as long as is needed for you to properly heal. I'd much rather wait longer than have your recovery compromised. :-)
Yay!!! Glad to hear that you're recovering.
Rich Is Death! Long Live The Rich!
Thumbs upfor Rich's recovery!
Err... no, wait. Bad choice of words.
Don't worry, take your time. As you can see, we're always here. :smallwink:
You mean like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HavLZ4YkNu8
Only a patient knows better than an orthopedic surgeon how a pain in the ass can be a cut of a flexor tendon of the hand .
Get well, Mr. Burlew, from Italy
Dear mr Burlew,
Take good care! Your work brings joy in the hearts of many people and has inspired many gamers for many years. Please take your time getting better.
Cheers!
Glad to hear your making progress. Take your time, These characters have been around for nearly a decade, we can wait a good while to have their story continued.
Yay for the Giant! *sends so many more good vibes*
