Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Ohh, it's finally up!
Strip 3
Should bring 'em out once a week or maybe twice if I have enough of a buffer, starting from today. So I guess today's gonna be my update day. :smalltongue:
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Very very nice. And you are able to pull of the high detail/high quality OotS art as well. Lots of detail drawn on your characters, with differing design choices, while still being able to tell what they are wearing.
Keep this up. :smalltongue:
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Thanks!
I'm a few comics ahead at this point and one or two of them are not quite as good looking as I'd like, but hopefully I can come into my own with this. It's been a looooong time since I've used the OotS style seriously. :smalltongue:
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Yes! I've been waiting for this. Subscribed.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
I second that.
Made me giggle aloud, and the colors don't hurt my eyes, so it's all good.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
I. like. this. now. subscribed. thread.
I'd like to see more of this, if possible.

Onmund of Skyrim since Onmund is a Nord Mage who got kicked out of the family of Warriors.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
I'm surprised to see you actually doing something in a Oots style, Bright. I don't normally read fan comics, but I suppose I'll have to keep an eye on this. :smalltongue:
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Thats nice!
i like this style.
Lets see where this will go.....

The store.
*fondly regards new DLB comic*
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
*stares the moron with the book*
You're handing over a book that should never be opened. To a librarian. Who has just finished admitting she wants to read it.
I just found the idiot ball i lost last week.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Just looked at #3 again, minor nitpick - if Kagra is shouting too, should maybe an "Aaahh!" or something be in there, perhaps in small letters?
My friends and I can't wait to see how this goes.

Makes sense. That would explain why teddy bear had the 'x' as its eyes.
Nice art, by the way. And oh, you elves. Ever the jerks.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Strip 4
Strip 5
Double update, because these ones looked fairly content-light in my backlog.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Lucky it wasn't bitten off, Kagra.
...Also, am I the first person who thought "Y'know, she should tape a wire into that and use it to power a reading light with clean green energy that's also necromantic purple energy?"
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
At least the guy with the hood wasn't daft enough to give her the key to that lock, though we kinda believed he was, in a way...
@Doorhandle: you're probably alone in that thought, but being first is what separated the genius from the inspired:smallwink:
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Strip 6
I love this man's hat.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
It is not a good sign when the proprietor of an emporium of all things weird says that.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians

EGADS! One cannot simply comprehend how correct you are, Superdark.
Anyway,I used to do that with my first cursed artifact, the wizard identifying it, however, said "Glarkinzooks!!!" or something... funny how dumb it is that at LV.17 party like us still has it's magic magic item identification at the mercy of a lv.3 mage guild clerk...:smallfrown:
I assume there are many more exclamations like that to come(like dooooooooooooooom and egads?)

Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Strip 7
Whoops, forgot it was update day. Here's the comic for today.
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
I somehow doubt that such a book will be so easy to destroy.
Anyone got disjunction prepared?
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
Nice strength check!
Considering he sells and perhaps crafts magic items for a living he just might live through that...:smallwink:

This disjunction should be empowerd, enlarged, maximized, and casted by ten 20 level wizards who trained their whole lives for that task.
*i think, can darklord bright tell us more?*
Re: Of Books and Barbarians
The main character (orc librarian) is a barbarian class! I though she's a bard or something that can read!
