That would do it...

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
If there was more interest in it once again I wouldn't mind specifically starting it up again though my time is here and there and will probably be more so during the holiday season.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Hey everyone. New to FFRP (But not to RP in general) and so since it says to drop by here that's what I decided to do. I'm not entirely sure on the policy of taking characters from stories and altering them enough to not be blatant transitions but a wording on that would be helpful so that I don't aggravate anyone.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
In the Nexus it's perfectly fine. Other roleplay universes may vary.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Ah, thanks. Now to find a Nexus world/Roleplay Universe where I can throw in the Swarmlord without being overpowered/out of place.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Sir I will have you know tyranids are my babies. If a rival fleet starts poking around, well, Hive Fleet Jaberwok's gonna have a thing or two to say about that.

As a note, any threads marked with a [Nexus] tag are all part of the same universe. It takes a bit of time to figure it all out, but just read the OP of whatever thread you'd like to post in and don't worry. Also, I'd recommend introducing yourself in the OOC thread.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
As for places to post, Outside might be a good idea. Nice open space where we can fight (if you'd like) without a lot of interference.

Well then I guess Hive Fleet Hades is going to have to lay low for a bit (As low as a swarm of flesh eating animal ships can be that is) :smallwink:
As for the nexus, so all those threads are in the same universe......every, single, one. Oh ye gods that's alot of continuity.

What continuity? *beats up continuity and tosses it off a cliff*
But in all seriousness, you pick it up eventually. :smalltongue:

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I had aliens clearly ripped off of tyranids invade the Nexus once, but they got their arses kicked before their rivals could even provide major hooks for future plots.
Several people proved themselves to be badasses, though. Especially Harnel vs. the PREPOSTEROUSLY HUGE ALIENMEGADOOMBEAST.
-
Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
The Nexus is intimidating, but as players we try to be very friendly to newcomers.
But oh dear gods, please don't make your introduction to the Nexus an invasion plot! :smalleek: Start with a single character. Stick him or her in Trog's. Get to know the setting, the characters, the IC and OOC conventions, and the other players. Take part in some plots. GM some lower scale villainous encounters for the heroes to plot.
If, after all that, you still want to run an invasion type plot, the Nexus will still be around to be invaded. I promise!

In my opinion, the best moment ever in the Nexus was DC vs the eldritch abomination crab.
With DC beating it by dropping whales on it.

Oh yes, that was awesome. And it supplied us with DELICIOUS CRAB MEAT.

Your kiddin me right? I couldn't even dream of an invasion plot, let alone even think about doing one before you mentioned it. I was just going to have my one character be a stranded alien beast and as I get more intune with the nexus I'd maybe try a reunite plot hook but not in the near future.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
This is a newbie sort of question, so I thought I would behoove me to post it here. :-)
I have my nifty little character and she hung out at the Dancing Fox for a bit, where some very nice people posted. (Thank you for being friendly folks! I've been places where people are ... umm.... NOT friendly.)
Now I'm looking to have her venture forth and see more of the Nexus, while she searches for some place to put her great big horse. Where should I have her venture forth to? Is there somewhere such as a 'streets of the Nexus' thread where she could find her way to different places, or somewhere that she might bump into a bit of mayhem or oddness that's taking place?
-
Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I'd totally give you a complete answer, but I need to log off soon for a bit. =x
So, instead I'll help by directing you to the Nexus OoC thread. It's the better thread for these Nexus specific questions. More people are likely to see it. More people are likely to see it.

Inside and Riverside are the main cities of the Nexus, and there's certainly plenty of odd adventures to be found in either. I'm not sure what's going on in Inside at the moment, but Riverside's east district is currently under siege by some sort of mystical fog, and an interdimensional ship full of trolls just crashed there was well.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I wounder, would anyone be interested in a Code Geass thing?
I've been rewatching it and I thought people might be up for it.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Heey, new to freeform. Just dropping in to say hi!

Sounds interesting. I would be very willing to at least try. I LOVE Code Geass. Rated it a 10 on My Anime List.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Code Geass eh? I wonder how that would work out. Regardless, count me interested.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I think... perhaps setting it in the CG universe but without Lelouch and all that going on. Also, there would have to be a limit on the number of people with Geass at any time because if everyone's flooping around with Geass lazar beems shooting from their eyes it stops being Code Geass and turns into a bad fanfic. :smalltongue:

Too true. I'd much rather play someone without Geass anyways.
