Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
The young healer sags a little. "We maybe were too incautious with our askings. Maybe someone else heard? Or maybe coincidence. I'm not sure. I think one of us at least should stay here tonight and watch, in case of others." He raises a hand "I volunteer."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Lisaa
"Hmm, This thief has some knowledge about how to use the artefacts. It is a pity that we can't question her now. She probably didn't work alone so noone of us should be alone here either.", says Lisaa. "We should go and talk to Mia ... and maybe the old man from the museum, although he might want to have the artefacts back."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Didn't you say you needed the artefacts for something, asks Karl, isn't this a good time to get them, and you can bring them back later?
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
Bronsk looks uncomfortable. "But what do we tell the curator in the meantime? He treasures them, and he knows they are magic."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Well, how long would you need them for? he replies. If it's a short time, we could go and use them, and then bring them back.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
Bronsk spreads his hands, helplessly.
"I have no idea. I'm not a powerful mage or a historian; I can ask the spirits, but even if they knew, they might not say."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
"Well, you did save his life Bronsk, and we all helped retrieve the stolen artefacts. I am sure he will allow us to borrow them for a short time at least." Tyrgen says.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Karl slowly shakes his head. He'll want to know what they're for. What do we say?
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Lisaa
"The old man believes that these items are indeed magical artefacts. Maybe he also knows for which purposes they've been made."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
Bronsk smiles. "I like that better; I wouldn't like to lie to the old man."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
"Well, that time that sorrow." Tyrgen says. "For now, I suggest we move on. We won't get anything done by standing here."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Lisaa
"Yes, let's hike back to the big city. I have a feeling that we shouldn't linger here any longer.", says Lisaa. She takes some of the stuff of the thief, straps it to her backpack and shoulders it.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Karl takes a couple of the artefacts, and puts them with the other magical items in his bag.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Tyrgen takes the remaining items and leaves the rabbit thief in Bronsk's care, and with that, the four of them return to the city. Back at the museum, everything is pretty quiet. However when they enter the building, they find Nina waiting for them in the stairs. When she sees them enter, she jumps up on her feet. "You're back. How did it go?"
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
Bronsk looks a little uneasy. "Well...We followed the thief, but she tried to use Ami's relics against us. It...fired back? She waz turned into small rabbit." he holds up the bundle.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
"Wha? She used tha relics. Whodathunk dat they had a speck o magic in em after all. And ye say it backfired?" Nina doesn't seem to entirely believe what Bronsk tells her. "Well, I'll tell grandpa when he wakes up. He's been sleepin ever since ye came and saved his life." Nina smiles. "'s there aneway I can repay ye for what ye've done for me grandpa and me?"
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Karl looks at the others. I know I ought to be polite and say it was our pleasure, but there is actually a favour we'd like to ask your grandfather.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Lisaa
"Yes, we must talk with your grandfather as soon as he wakes up. He was obviously right about the magical properties of these artefacts."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
"Well, I s'pose I could wake him up for ye. What do ye want ta speak to him 'bout?" Nina answers.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
Looking askance at his companions, Bronsk shakes his head.
"Thiz can wait until morning, I think? We have rooms waiting, and I haven't slept properly. But, I'd like to check up on your grandfather, yes?" Bronsk taps the herbalist's badge on his sleeve.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
"Course." Nina says. "Jest follow me." She leads Bronsk up to the second floor and into the bedroom where the staff was being kept. The old man lies sleeping on a simple bed. There is a bowl of water and a damp cloth on the table next to the bed.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
Bronsk examines the curator and nods to himself. "Good good. He should be up and about tomorrow, no problem. I'll return then to make sure."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Karl scratches his head. So, what now? I'd rather find a better inn than the last one.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
"Other hand," He says, scratching his stubbly chin, "Those rooms iz already paid for for tonight. Well, what's left of it."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Yeah, I guess so. Alright, back we go.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Lisaa
"No, we should go to another inn for the night. Those few coins are small price if some bad poeple wait for us there.", says Lisaa. "And we should really keep our eyes open for potential pursuers when we go to some other inn ... well, generally."
((Lisaa also uses two charges of her wand of CLW to heal 12 hit points.))
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
"Then where do you suggest we go Lisaa? It is pretty late, and I don't know of any other inn's that are still open." Tyrgen says to continue the conversation.
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Lisaa
"This is such a big city here. There ought to be some place that's still open. Probably in the more seedy parts though.", says Lisaa. "It's hard to say which place will be safer. So we could also go back to our old inn and keep an eye open in the night, if you rather prefer that."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
"In that case, I suggest we cast a vote for where we should go for the night, as either is fine with me."
-
Re: The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon
Bronsk
"Well...I'd take my chances with the Inn we came from. It'z already paid for."
