You could add Shield Spikes and masterwork those for 300gp.
A 202 [correction]
Yes, you can also make a shield a masterwork weapon. You pay the cost for weapon enhancements separately from armor enhancements, so that would be an additional 300 gp at item creation. The rules for armor enhancements and the rules for weapon enhancements apply as usual; you're just applying them to the same object.Quote:
An enhancement bonus on a shield does not improve the effectiveness of a shield bash made with it, but the shield can be made into a magic weapon in its own right.
A 202 Clarification
You can't masterwork shields as a weapon. You only use the armour masterwork rules.
Thus you pay 150 gp and get -1 acp.
While if you add shield spikes you'd have to pay 300 GP to make those masterwork weapons.
The rules quote I provided above contradicts you. Shields can be made into magic weapons, and the requirement for adding a magical enhancement to any weapon is that it must be a masterwork weapon first. From pages 285-286 of Dungeon Master's Guide:Quote:
Only a masterwork weapon can become a magic weapon, and the masterwork cost is added to the total cost to determine final market value.
Q 204
Is it possible for a druid to get an enlarge person effect onto an Elemental companion?
Q205
The Hunger domain contains the spells Eyes of the King and Bite of the King. Who (if anyone) is "the King" these spells reference?
A 205 Doresain, the King of the Ghouls.
See Libris Mortis on page 64.
Q206: Does the effect of one infection from a disease overwrite previous instances of that same disease (or do multiple infections not 'stack' unless otherwise stated)?
A 206
Once you're infected with a particular disease, that's your status until you successfully fight off that disease (two successful daily Fortitude saving throws in a row indicate recovery); further exposure does nothing. See the disease Glossary entry here, and Dungeon Master's Guide on pages 292-293.
Q207: Is there an ability/feat/variant that places divines spells into the psionics realm?
A207:Spell to power Erudite would do it. Beware the Tier1 power though.
Unfortunately those don't fully cover the question. Some diseases leave effects after or because of the infection and aren't clear when the infection is over.
I think you are trying to say the effects of the same disease do not stack (even when enough time has passed between infections to assumably otherwise leave extra effects), right?
Q208
How do Double Double Crossbows, Hand (found here), interact with the following:
Quick Loading (From MiC)
Rapid Shot
TWF and associated feats/fighting style
Q209
The Ranger ACF Distracting Attack says that the effect lasts until the target is attacked. Would this mean the next person to Full Attack the target would get all of their attacks with the benefits of Flanking (such as Sneak attack) or only the first?
A 209 Just the first.
The benefit of Distracting Attack ends as soon as the target is attacked by one of your allies. It does not persist through the entire turn of that attacker.
Q 210
a. Can you apply Sneak Attack to the attacks made by a Persistent Blade spell (SpC 154)?
b. Is this also the case with Spiritual Weapon?
Q 211
For the Hide/Move Silently skills it reads, "when moving at a speed greater than one-half but less than your normal speed, you take a -5 penalty. It’s practically impossible (-20 penalty) to hide while attacking, running or charging."
Is moving at your normal full speed considered running or is that reserved only for the Run action?
A 210 a. No.
The Persistent Blade attacks on its own, at your direction. It also continues to attack on its own when you stop directing it. Except for being a spell effect, it's equivalent to having a servant fight for you. The Persistent Blade could add any sneak attack damage that applied to it, just as a servant could add their own sneak attack damage, but the effect does not include any sneak attack. Your sneak attack ability only applies to attacks you make. From Rules Compendium on page 42:You don't wield a Persistent Blade; it wields itself.Quote:
An attacker can deal precision damage with any weapon he can wield, but he must wield that weapon in the optimal way.
A 210 b. No.
Same reasoning as above.
A 211 No.
Running refers to the full-round action described on page 144 of Player's Handbook, so that specific penalty does not apply unless you're actually running. The rules don't ever address the issue of moving at full hustle speed while making a Hide check, so it's up to your individual DM to decide what penalty applies then.
Skip Williams stated that it's a -5 penalty to move at full speed in a Rules of the Game article (probably without realizing that he was making up yet another house rule in the process). Your DM might adopt that same house rule. Other DMs make the penalty -10 at full speed. You can avoid the issue if you limit your movement to 1 square (5') less than your full speed; otherwise, talk to your DM.
Q212: Is a move action enough to move onto a table one stands next to? If not, what kind of action/check would it be? I'm wanting to heal an ally without going around the table and provoking AoOs, you see.
A 212
Yes, a move action is enough, if you succeed on the required Jump check.
Thank you. That seems to cover it.
Q 213
Is there anyway to find out what spells are currently affecting an NPC (e.g. if he has buffed himself before combat)?
Q214 How does the Starmantle spell and cloak (BoED) interact with a weapon that has had its magical ability supressed by a targeted dispel?
Q215 Can a creature be summoned on the other side of a dispelling screen (SpC)?
Q216 If I have an ability that extends a spell for free and stacks with normal extend spell metamagic how long is the duration of the spell?
A 213 Yes.

Q 219
Rhine Hide deals an additional 2d6 points of damage on any successful charge attack made by the wearer, including a mounted charge. If I have the Pounce special ability, would this extra damage be on all attacks made, or just once as long as one of the attacks hit?
A 217
The wielder makes the Dispel Psionics check, so it's the wielder's manifester level.
Q 220
I'm playing a multi-class character into the epic levels. How do epic bonus feats work for this character?
Let's say for example that I'm a rogue 10/bard 10 character. If I advance my rogue to level 14 (CL of 24) do I gain an epic bonus feat? Or do the levels in rogue have to be 24 by themselves?
A 220: You don't get them unless your class explicitly says you do. If you have finished a 10 level prestige class, you can advance it into epic (No new features, progresses things that are derived from class level, epic bonus feat at every X levels, to be discussed with your DM). If you have finished no classes, there will be nom Epic bonus feats for you.
In your example, no, there would be no epic bonus feats until one of the classes reached 21+, regardless of the other class.
A220 (supplemental)
There is a way to get Bonus feats that are Epic {which may or not be a Epic bonus feat} without class levels in anyone class exceeding 21.
There are a small number of epic prestige classes {in ELH} that grant bonus feats that are epic feats.
So your rogue 10/bard 10 can add 1 level of something {have to be epic character to take epir prestige class} and then take 5 levels of agent retriever to get a bonus feat. There are several epic feats available as this bonus feat.
Agent retriever requires 24 ranks in gather info {class skill for both bard and rogue} Know (planes) 15 {21st level something with know(planes)} and Track and Lawful
