Could you be so kind as to provide me with an Avatar of Thog? To save time, you don't have to color it in. I could do that myself.
Maybe you could do images similar to the Team Evil one for the Order of the Stick and the Linear Guild? And maybe the Order of the Scribble too?
Building on what I said last time, Hinjo, like Tsukiko, looks really cool and I think you've done him very well. Only trifling complaints (Durkon's beard isn't big enough, and Xykon looks a bit too... chunky... and I think his crown is a bit oversized) but, like I said last time, none of these really matter, since everyone's perceptions of the characters will always be slightly different, and it must be hard moving everything to a manga format from a stick-comic format. Besides, my drawing is so bad it warps the very fabric of the universe, so I'm in no position to criticise.
I shall renew my request for the last six panels of Strip #355 to be manga-sized.
Could I request an Elan avatar?
Slow Down People! These are too many requests at once!. So, calmly wait one at a time.
Something about Xykon's look makes me smile every time. I love it
I think Xykon having eyelids is a perfectly valid interpretation. Making his eye sockets move a lot would be, too, but eyelids are ok.
So what if skulls don't have eyelids? Skeletons also can't stand without anything linking the bones together. It's magic :P
You're right about toning, you couln't do it just there. Soon you'd end up putting toning everywhere and it would take ages. I didn't really think about that...
I disagree with grayscale comics being necessarily confusing though. Sure, in manga that does happen a lot (especially with shojo I find) but that's due to the style I think, some mangaka have a messy, confusing style.
Now, I know colour can be used to differenciate stuff, but I prefer reading greyscale. As in, if I have something in colour I might convert it to greyscale to read it. I might be weird in that prospect, but I often find that the colours give too much information that distracts from the action, the actual lines.
I can't wait to see what you're going to draw next :)
You, my good sir, are incredibly awesome. I'm not a big manga fan, but I really like your work. Keep it up. I particularly like your interpretations of Xykon and Hinjo.
Also, a manga version of the first panel of this strip would probably be one of the best things ever.
I think Xykon looks like a smug bastard. it suits him
also: could I request a redcloak avatar? pretty please?
The recent few strips would be awesome in manga form, especially the latest one where Haley drags Elan away just in time (?) to avoid the explosion.
Also, if you're making avatars, could I request a Girard?
This is amazing.
How about #367 with Thog and Not-Nale.
That is one of my favorites.

Heya, guys. First post.
This is something I did when bored. Just for fun. Surprisingly enough, the OOTS characters are kind of hard to translate into manga format, especially their expressions. The fight scene was changed around slightly, to add a bit more oomph.[/QUOTE]
Great job man, really love the manga version of OotS.
Okay, you know what. The avatar requesting thing was a bad idea. New plan. I'll be doing avatars every now and then, but they won't be requests. I'll just drop them on the page, and if you see them feel free to message me for it. That'll keep me sane at least and give me time to work on my pages. The ones requested so far will be done in time. But only the ones that I've already drawn, so Elan and Redcloak.
Anyway, I have quite enough requests so far for the pages now. I haven't even finished 200, guys, you're gonna have to give me some time.
Haha, funny you should say that. I went without sleep yesterday night finishing up an assignment for school and now I feel ready to die. That's the reason there wasn't a full page yesterday.
;-;
Sorry.
I sympathize. I've done all-nighters and you end up worse for it. Unless it's very important, you're better off just getting some sleep.
...
I never subscribe to threads, but this is a first because it is AWESOME BEYOND WORDS. Well done sir!
Requests? Well my primary request is that you keep cranking it out! I don't care what, so long as it's something.
Although I do have a fondness for three strips in particular:
1) The scene where Roy throws Xykon into the portal. There's a lot of different things going on here, and a lot of action.
2) The scene where Haley gets her voice back and the one after. This would give you the opportunity to showcase your emotional range: Shock. Hate. Surprise. Love. Fear. Magic. Swordplay. And so on. I think this strip would really challenge you.
Therkla's death scene would also be a contender, for the same reasons.
3) 'Control Weather' in Cliffport. Or Familicide, for sheer pyrotechnics.
Respectfully,
Brian P.
Indeed they are! I already grabbed the colorized Tsukiko and Redcloak and made it my wallpaper, but if you're still taking requests, I'd LOVE beyond anything to have this as my mangaized wallpaper.
And even though I'm tossing my request on your ever growing pile, please make sure you pace yourself. Burnout ruins so many great artists.
I got lucky then, with my request. Thanks again Elagune. You should post a list of what has been requested, so that people know what their place is in line.
Add my voice to those praising your work. Really love this stuff.
Oh, and if you fancy it, id love to see I got me a trophy
