Bite Dutchies cultural, historical and military superiority!
Britan, Britan, Britan!
Opened by the queen in 1972, Britan now attracts hindreds of visitores each year. But why do they come? Not just to discovor how chicken nuggets should really tast, or to take part in the great tredition of dogging... NO!
They come in their droves to meet the people of Britan! And it is them what we now here look at now today!
LET US ROCK!
Brits of the boards! Unite!
Hay, I only live here... and talk like one... and have a british sence of humer... and look british... shut up... :smallannoyed:
I'm going to have to annoy Hyperfreak again, he's going to think I last updated in March :smallamused:
Anyhow, this strip hasn't took me as long as I thought, so I'm going to post it straight away. 4 comics in 8 days...boy I'm not going to be able to keep this up!
Anyhow, this is the first combat strip so far, the first chance you get to see how effective the team are etc. Now, one thing I've never been able to do very well is the sensation of movement, such as when someone is makes an attack or get's knocked back etc. I think I've managed to this to an extent in this comic, but any tips on how to do it better would be appreciated.
Anyway, here it is:
Strip 14 - Fight Scene: Take One
As always any comments, conjecture or criticism is welcome. It would be good to hear how people are getting used to the new art style, or whether it still hurts your eyes :smallamused:
Anyway...hope you enjoy, next strip will be up Thursday probably, could be earier but based on my track record I'm not saying so!
I can't wait for the update, Fight Scene number 2-enter the goldfish!
SoD that...brilliant.
I bet Jaws will take this opportunity to run away...
what ya wanna bet?
Go Team Gold-Fish!
Great comic
I like the way you date your updates. It's always made more sense, in my opinion, to put the day before the month. To avoid confusion (I'm american), I usually write out the month though (3Dec07).
Also, you should always do what is easiest for you, before pandering to any one person. Anyone who truly enjoys the comic will stay as long as you don't stray too far from what originally got our attention in the first place. Even then some may stay, if the change is good for them.
So basically, keep up the good work. I love it so far.:elan:
KNOCKOUT
This is Bob here with my co-worker!
This round we have a special round! Aquatic!

*clearing throat* Ahem... (Insert Bardic Knowledge Check here) :elan:
Aluminum
1812, coined by Sir Humphry Davy (1778-1829), from L. alumen "alum" (see alum). Davy originally called it alumium (1808), then amended this to aluminum, which remains the U.S. word, but British editors in 1812 further amended it to aluminium, the modern preferred British form, to better harmonize with other element names (sodium, potassium, etc.).
"Aluminium, for so we shall take the liberty of writing the word, in preference to aluminum, which has a less classical sound." -"Quarterly Review," 1812
Seems to me it was just a matter of wanting to sound grandiose, neh?
As far as Jaws is concerned, I suspect a rather nifty Familiar-Delivered Touch Attack spell might be in the works. At least, that is what I would do...
You have alot of detail in your comic. Nice work. =)
Wow a compliment from teh esteemed Mr Saturn, that has genuinely made my day.
Next strip is finished, just about on time!
Strip 15 - Time for Plan B
Not much detail underwater unfortunately, but as the majority of next strip is underwater I'm going to work on improving it for then.
As always all comments are welcome.
Next strip might be up Sunday if I get the time, that will make 6 strips in 14 days, not bad going for me!
It's a true classic!
Goldfish bought by moron
Goldfish carried around in bag by moron
Goldfish released into river by moron
Goldfish eaten by massive octopus moron thinks he can take...
I really start to like the non-oots style parts of this comic. I love the plot development.
hehe, cant wait to see the fight scene...it should be shocking to say the least. Also, american FTW !!! I find british english much more uptight...compare british english and american english like...paladin and bard...or something like that...
Yes, well, we actually had The Bard :smallamused:
Yes, and it seems to me to be more a paladin vs. barbarian. One of them misses some of the more colourful letters out.
Oh, and to keep on topic: brilliant comic, I put 11gp on the fish!
Oooh, lookz like I zparked a debate! And Banjo updated again!
In June?! What the hell?! Have I been in a coma?! What happened to my family?!
NOOOOOOO!!!!!
Now look what you've done.
EDIT:
Military? :smallconfused: I thought we owned you...meh.
Also, I'm not zure if that'z a real :smallannoyed:, zo I want you to know that I waz kidding. I already knew that Banjo waz British (Britizh :smallconfused:).
P.S. Hey, Banjo! I take French in zkool!
