Considering his background of being a mercenary...

... I always kinda worked under the assumption that he was at least Neutral with maybe some Chaotic if not Good or pure Neutral. But that is just my opinion on that sentence.
He also doesn't really go out of his way to right wrongs or save people besides his friends, so just from that he doesn't seem exceptionally good to me.
Being neutral is just that, somewhere inbetween the other four possible components of alignments and pending on the other half of your possible alignment putting you closer or further away.
@Comic:
I would prefer at least using Magic Missile as well over giving a melee-er flight, but between the two I think Lenny with his better chance of bypassing DR (Power Attack, Higher BaB, Str, Greatsword, etc) would have a better chance then Rocky trying to Sneak Attack.
Problem about fighting Area of Effect-using monsters is if you divide enough they have to try and concentrate on certain targets more, along with the healer having to travel further just to heal a fallen comrade.

Gods no, this would be a very bad idea, giving a melee flight is proberly one of the best options open to be party, it being able to move the fight up to the Erinye and put some pressure on her, while spamming low damage-easily resisted magic missiles is only a singel step up from using fireballs.

Problem here is that allmost all monsters can easily outdamage whatever healing the healer might be able to do, meaning that its normaly better to try and finish the fight as fast as possible, and then heal up afterwards.
Also, when fighting AOE monsters splitting up is something you have to do, if they can hit the entire group anyway, then splitting up will reduce their damage by around 3/4.

All the same, it seems that my guess of picking Lenny over Rocky was correct :smalltongue:
Some how I forgot they have SR...

Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
Outsiders are basically the monster equivelent of Tier one, along with dragons, so I'm not surprised she has so many powers you loose count. It must come standard with the colossal stick up the arse of most devils.

See, thats why I'd much rather do deals with demons, even if they're much more likely to betray you. I mean, if this was a Succubus instead of an Erinyes, that collossal stick woudnt be up her arse...well unless you asked nicely.

Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
New comic!
Should certainly make things exciting for those on the ground. The tide was certainly turning against the erinyes prior to that summoning. I just wonder if Lenny got in a hit in after she summoned them, or if his action was the parry in panel 2.
Anyone have any monster details on the devils?
Time for Rocky to go to work...
-
Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
The reinforcements are bearded devils, aka barbazu.
The Erinyes isn't using her abilities as effectively as she could, but then I guess neither are the party. The biggest threat to them right now is if she just Charms Lenny, removing the party's only real source of damage against her.

And so, half of the victory is assured!
I almost feel sorry for that poor Blind Beardie... More then likely because I live with a blind man and fear the day that may or may not bring such a fate to me.
And since it has been pointed out to me the author does grant extra exp for defeating summoned creatures, its only more likely for the team to level up.
I'm personally kinda confused as to why she didn't use more of her SLA's and the Imp left as well when he can easily continue with his spying mission. But then those little buggers are more interested in Numero Uno till the boss wo/man catches up so that seems to make sense.

Needs them to kill other people. Also, they would provoke A.o.Os, paritcually with Mr-happy-hackker up there.

I meant largely getting in a Charm on Lenny or Rocky before they could try to close in. Even at the chance of an AoO it could of saved her some damage.
Hindsight is 20-20 I guess.
Level-up get!
That Wounding ability that Bearded Devils have is quite annoying imho.

She could also have charmed Lenny after he closed in, its not like she couldnt use the ability defensively.

Oh my... So few posts yet so much stuff has happened since!

Nice catch there Dane (who posted at the forums over there) on some of the references. Some how I totally missed the Terminator or even the Captain Jack bit.
I'm going to have to bet that Jack is a Bard class mostly because of his ability to use scrolls, claim to be able to heal himself, and his roguish good looks. :)

Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
So the group's now in Autumnson...wonder if this town will prove to be as "busy" as the last one :smallamused:
And with a full month of voting under our belts this time, unlike during May where we missed out on the first five or six days, we are steadily hovering around the #120 ranking. Very nice! Let's take it to the next level ;)

Hey, loaded right up for me from the link on the first page. I even took off the "first.html" piece and it took me to the comic listing.

Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
Oh man, new PC. I'm guessing the party is finally getting a Cleric. Not that Julie wasn't filling the healing needs for the most part by any means but she can do more bardic things now!
-
Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
Or better yet, if they are lucky the cleric will do real cleric stuff, and not just run around healing.
-
Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
For a while I was hoping Pauline would return...but the group's weakness is the lack of a cleric-type. Think they've got it now, so bring on higher levels.

Wouldn't be a very interesting character if all he does is Healbot, so let's hope not.

Owww... little Angelicka looks so happy to receive her sister's affection... not.

Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
Any guesses as to who the two town criers are? It's suspected their real identities are disguised right now...
-
Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
Oh please. They're hardly disguised at all.
Combine that with their terrible acting skills...
But still, I don't believe anyone listening to them knows who they are.

Re: Our Little Adventure: A fun, original fantasy romp
It's Sophia and Malchior.
Edit: As a side note, I'm really beginning to hate Emily. I'd be fine if her bigotry was just that, but laughing at elves being murdered? Really?

Just further proof that Emily is a double agent for the Sauballo Empire.

What isn't funny about elves being murdered? :xykon:

I rather doubt that. She's had countless occasions to seriously double cross them, yet she hasn't.
Yes, I think she's suspicious and undeniably racist, but I doubt that she's working for the Souballo Empire.

You only get one major double-cross (unless they're utter simps, which the party isn't), you just gotta bide your time for the right moment. Yes, she has had times when she could have got somebody killed but that doesn't mean she has to jump on it and vacate the party. She can do just as much damage by keeping notes on the party and biding her time till she has either a piece of the Magicant or nothing more can be gained. Neither goal has been achieved, so she can make nice just fine while hinting to the readers, if not rest of her party, that she's not up to anything good. I believe her sincerity in her research topic of obscure flora and fauna as far as I could throw her.:smalltongue:
