Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Thanks for telling me, Randman. I had a focal migrain when my family and I were on a holiday in Bristol, and I was pretty much incapable of doing anything until I threw up (I blame the loud music at a Frankie and Benny'srestaurant which we went to before it started).

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I'm actually pretty lucky in that I don't get the really bad cluster migraines. On the 1-10 scale, my 'graines are rarely more than a 6. It's just when they drag on and on, it's exhausting.
The prescription medication started working very quickly though. Yay!

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
That's great, happyturtle. I don't know how strong mine was (I've ot had another one since then thankfully).
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
It must have been a lot worse than mine, cause I'm still sort of functioning. I took a taxi to the doctor, but it stopped raining while I was there, so I walked home (about a mile). It doesn't sound like you'd have been able to do that.
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I couldn't even talk or take my watch off to be honest. (Walking anywhere was out of the question once it fully took effect.)
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
*shudder* Sounds like a cluster migraine. I don't get those, but my brother does. I sincerely hope you never experience it again!

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Speaking of headaches, has anybody else gone through serious caffeine withdrawals?
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Not at all. :smallconfused:
I don't drink much caffeine anyway. At least, now I'm starting to. But when I stop, I don't get anything. :smallconfused:
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I never touch caffein at all. I was just told that it was a focal migrain. (What's the difference between those and clusters?)
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I don't know what a focal migraine is, so no idea. :smallconfused:

Aziraphale sends you all his love from the continent.

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I has at least four cups of tea a day... Not an amazing amount of caffeine, but still.
Most commonly used drug ya' know.

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I had chronic migraines for a while.
For those who don't know what a migraine feels like: it's pain; wrapped in ouchies; wrapped in more pain; sitting on the top of a small, irate, beagle; which in and of tiself is tied to a hammer which is being repeatedly smashe against the inside of your skull.

*winces*
Wow. I'm glad I never got one. :smalleek:

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Out of curiosity, is there an official #giantitp or #oots channel or something like that somewhere out there in IRC land?
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I use this sometimes to chat with people: http://www.gabbly.com/www.giantitp.com (it isn't very active a lot of the time, though).

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
on irc.gamesurge.net there's #GiantITP

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Aaaahhhh, cheese toasties. Is there nothing you can't cure?
I've been wanting some for weeks so after parents being oblivious to hints that would sink the Titanic I made myself some.
Shame I burnt half of one. Stupid schizophrenic grill.
Still, lovely gooey, gooey, tasty cheese.
It's also wierd in that I won't eat cheese unless it's a toastie or on cauli.
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
What, may I ask, is cauli? :smallconfused:
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
I think she means cauliflower. Toasted cheese is great (I sometimes eat it cold, but I think it's better if it's melted).

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Lea & Perrins? I think it makes it taste double-super-nice...mmm....
Aw! Now I'm all hungry and there's absolutely no food in the house. Boo!
Weird! Weird! *points at* Cheese is reaaally nice. Like super nice. Mmm, animal milk that's gone off...

!
There's a GitP Steam group?
*Boots up Steam.*
*Blinks at Steam, not knowing where to go.*
*Finds out how.*
Okay, go to community, and the bottom little category thing says Groups. Click browse groups. Then... Uhh...
Hmm. 6.8 thousand groups to look through. And no sign of a search function, or filter.
EDIT: Oh. The search is unmarked, at the top-right.
EDIT2: Hmm... How to get invited...
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
We have a Steam group?
Wow.
Now I just need a game that people actually play on Steam (only has SiN episodes 1)

There oughta be a Knock button or something. Ask to be invited. That would help.

Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Hi everyone. I'm a bit groggy. I was up late listening to British teens swear in British (subtitled British, actually).
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Which program was that, Tragic_Comedian? Also, was it in a foreign language? (I'm curious due to the subtitles.)
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
It was Skins. It premiered on BBCA last night and shouldn't have. I love it, though. No, it was in English, but it was subtitled anyway for the benefit of Americans, I guess. It just makes me mad. If the Brits are talking too fast, make us listen to them quicker, don't subtitle them!
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Okay. I got in thanks to Penguinizer.
-
Re: Jack Squat's Justlessly Juxtaposed Random Banter #101
Thanks for telling me (I've never seen that, it's not the sort of thing that I'd like, but I have one friend who likes it a lot). I never knew British people were seen as fast talkers (unless I'm just faster then most English people:smalltongue:).
