I dunno. Server restarted.
Msg: I see no record of you attempting to message anyone in the server logs. What happens?

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
For some reason people couldn't connect, so I restarted the server and that fixed it.
-
Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
So I try to /msg people and I just get the /msg is used to send a private message message thing, saying the command and it's description. U probably didn't see anything because I tried a few days ago.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
No, it's nowhere to be found in the latest 20,000 lines of log. Hooray for automatic searching.
Try /tell or /whisper

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Alright Sapo, SO I managed to get it so that players would see me /tell message, but I would be unable to see the message that I had sent them. ALSO, I was lvl 37 in the nether2, fighting blazes, and went back through my portal to hardcore, the problem is, that I happened to keep all of my items, but I lost all 37 levels of experience, coming in with 0 xp what so ever. Any idea what went wrong with that? Thanks.

Whenever you change worldgroups and maybe even worlds, your experience resets to 0 until you gain more experience, which gives you all of your experience back plus whatever you gained.
Another bug is that if I give a diamond pick in creative power pick, using the rune, it then carries over to every diamond pick I have in all the worlds. Even hardcore.

The thing is... I have done that... I did kill mobs when my exp was reset, and yet I didn't regain all of my levels. I still had to gain back every single level that I had lost, let me see actually if it is as you had said.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Odd. It's always come right back when I killed something.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
So is there anyway to change the default music for minecraft?
Also, dokucraft is awesome.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
...is /warp blazegrinder no longer in the same worldgroup as Terra? Because I managed to get up to level 22 before my fire defense potion wore off and I went /home, and...at home, my XP bar is utterly empty. But when I go back to blazegrinder it shows 22.
Apparently there's a bug in Minecraft, because I teleported back again and noticed my XP bar was empty at the grinder too - untill I killed another Blaze. I then went home, killed a sheep, and got my XP back. Weird...

If I remember right, you can exchange the music files in the sounds folder with files with the same format and filename. This MIGHT break your minecraft, so like anytime you mess with it...back your game up.

Wait a minute...I can listen to Nirvana/Iron Maiden/Johnny Cash/Danzig/Weird Al while I play Minecraft? Without having to use a media player that slows down Minecraft? This is the best news I have heard all year! I'm only partially kidding.

You had a very good day.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Hm, this is weird. I can't right-click my dog. Right-clicking everything else seems to work, but I get no response from clicking to either make him stand up or to feed him. (On Terra.)
EDIT: ...then, after I warped to Spawnworld and back, he was standing, but with low health (tail low, but no whimpering), and no amount of food would raise it, although I could get him to sit and stand. Log out and back in, and now he's sitting with right-click doing nothing again.

*Updated Bukkit to 1.3.2 (from 1.3.1 (Because the fixes present in 1.3.2 vanilla were already present in Bukkit, they took a while to update))
*Updated WorldGroups
--Added proper enderchest management (with Bukkitv1.3.2 features)
--Fixed XP-related bugs

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Why do i get exp from Coal but not Iron or Gold?
-
Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
You get xp from smelting iron and gold, not mining it.

To put it more generally, you get xp from destroying blocks, not collecting them.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Basically, ores don't give XP.
Coal, redstone, lapis, diamond = these give XP when mined.
Iron, gold = these give XP when smelted.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Of course, a Mobavator can give you as much xp as you need, so it's not really a major concern.

I'm not worried about getting XP, just puzzled that after a hour of mining i had gained 17 levels from mostly coal (and a lil bit of old fashioned monster killing)
I haven't played much recently and when i have its not been out mining but rather building (A large flat yard and a Spider proof fence)
If i need exp i have a Blaze farm for that - Turn it on, walk away for 30mins, come back and throw a Splash potion at it and reap the rewards, but i guess that this change is good for people who don't have Exp farms

I must be missing something... nano armor and nano saber is pretty standard fare for those who haven't gotten their mass fab up and running yet.

The fact that you're needlessly draining energy on the saber bothers me way more than it should.

The primary advantage the drill has is that it is both a shovel and a pick, and that it never breaks, you just recharge it and you're good.
I happen to really like the chainsaw. It's got the same damage output as a gem sword, and functions as both axe and shears. Yes, you can shear sheep with a chainsaw. However, you definitely want to go in and edit your config to turn off the volume.
As far as the nano armor... the only benefit over iron/bronze armor is that it never breaks, you just recharge it. Now the Quantum is a different matter, but that's like end-game of the end-game gear.

Re: Minecraft Thread X: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the ... SSSSSSSS
Does anyone know how to downgrade to 1.3.2 from the new update(mcnostalgia only has the 1.3.2 pre-release and it won't even work with that)?

I don't tend to worry about things breaking - if im out mining i'll likely have a supply of gems to replace the on the fly. Shears i have a pair of that live in chests when i'm not shearing sheep or collecting leaves.
When im out exploring i normally have a Alchemical bag on me so space is not a big issue (although yesterday i put the bag inside its self by mistake - that was a right pain. Least it doesn't do a Tear in the fabric of reality like the D&D ones do)
I have so much Iron and Tin/Copper sitting around that its kinda useful to make things that break out of it (Alchemical chest full of those metals + much more that hasn't been through the Grinder yet)
Haven't even bothered with going Hightech power - i have my Machine running off a basic generator that gets fed a Stack of Coke every now and then (I have 5 coke ovens under the House to fuel my Railway endeavors)
