Zephyr Magic Academy: An OoTS-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Alright, this is it! After practicing hard, I finally managed to make this, an OoTS-styled fantasy webcomic or fantasy fancomic or whatever it is. And unlike most OoTS fancomics around here, this comic is not about D&D (though I may get some inspiration from it), but about something else. The story is about the students of a magic school and their adventure. I hope you can enjoy the story.
By the way, English is not my first language, and forgive me if there's something wrong in my English, whether in the thread itself or in the comics. I apologize in advance.
Current Comic: #7 And It's Not Even Funny

Follow Kalina Stormblade, a young aspiring magician who gets to attend a prestigious and renowned magic school, Zephyr Magic Academy. See as she meets new friends and finds new rivals, while discovering the dark secret of the school itself. Also, follow the story of Joshua 'Josh' Nightlight, a friendly young magician who is struggling against his own darkness. What will happen if these two teenage magicians with contrasting destinies meet each other?
Let's find out.

The main protagonist of the story. A fifteen-year-old girl from Guilan tribe (a warlike, barbarian tribe) who gets herself enrolled into a prestigious and renowned magic school, Zephyr Magic Academy. Despite her barbaric heritage, she's softspoken, caring and quite intelligent. Sometimes, she can be quite bossy and demanding, and due to the unique traits of her tribe, she's a big eater. She is capable to conjure swords or any bladed weapons out of nowhere, and it is an ability that she was born with and she inherited the ability from her family. Her family was named after such ability.
Joshua 'Josh' Nightlight

Show
The deuteragonist of the story. A friendly sixteen-year-old boy with a strange penchant to appear out of nowhere, freaking out all people involved. Academically average, he's the nephew of the current headmaster of the school, Grandmaster Vivio Nightlight. Despite his friendliness, he doesn't like being called 'Joshua' due to certain reasons. As a magician, he's capable to use some basic spells, and in combat, he relies in his magical staff/spear that can be changed into a locket when he's not using it. He's more like a martial-artist than a magician.

Show
A supporting protagonist. A fifteen-year-old boy who is known for his delinquency and rudeness. Despite that, he's a bright student with vast knowledge in magic. He always prefers to be alone, and he usually doesn't like having a conversation with others unless necessary. As a magician, he excels in many kind of magics, but he usually prefers darkness and fire spells. In battle, he always uses a magic pistol that has infinite ammo.

Spoiler
Show
Another supporting protagonist. A sixteen-year-old girl who is the most popular girl at school. Due to her popularity, she's a little arrogant and condescending, especially to those magically weaker than her. Was born from a wealthy family of magicians, she's one of the excellent students of the school due to her innate magical abilities that she inherited from her family. As a magician, she favors arcane magic, and she usually uses light and lightning spells.

Actually, the fact that you admitted that it is the scheme spoils it for everybody. :smallannoyed:
1) You could've had it so that the headmaster was in the shadows so nobody could clearly see if he was a monster (but it would be fun to guess what kind of monster he really is, kind of the Monster In the Dark)
2) The monster could've been in disguise in the form of a human, elf, etc. Either by makeup or illusion.
3) It could've been an illusion, imposter, or puppet controlled by the real headmaster, hiding somewhere. This sort of has the same affect as 1.
To be honest though, I thought the headmaster was going to be some all powerful but bumbling wizard, like Fizban from the Dragonlance Chronicles.
But I'm really enjoying this. Keep up the good work.

Actually, it is more complicated than that, but I shall spoil no more. :smallwink: And thanks for the feedback, Drakeburn, I think I got some ideas from it.
By the way, what do you guys think about the characters? There are only five pages, but what do you think about them?

Re: Zephyr Magic Academy: An OoTS-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Hm... Photobucket shrank the images to an unreadable size. This makes me sad, because Page 1 left me kind of wanting to read some more... :smallfrown:

Re: Zephyr Magic Academy: An OoTS-styled Fantasy Webcomic
lol maybe the headmaster is like the dragon in Tarquin's kingdom lol. Or not! Isn't that kid related to the headmaster? They have to be human...

Re: Zephyr Magic Academy: An OoTS-styled Fantasy Webcomic
I think you meant to have an s in "questions", and maybe "Why was I chosen" instead of "why am I chosen" because that sounds funny.
That said, I thought Vivio's joke was funny! He has a funny sense of humor, it should have been expected from that warning though. :]

Well, I forgot to put s in 'questions', but about that 'was'... well, I'm not a native speaker, so I'm sorry for that.
And I'm glad that you thought that Vivio's joke was funny. I didn't have much hope in that joke, actually. And I'm not really good with jokes, you see?
