That remineds me of a group progect I did in sience class. We made a power point about something sciencey, and at the end, I put in tiny print- "Note: Several kittens, your mom, and the ozone layer were harmed in the making of this powerpoint."

Small world. :smallannoyed: I forgot to bring my REPORT CARD HOME and I'm grounded for 3 weeks! I'm fighting the power, now.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
...Why didn't you just tell your parents your grades, Falgorn? They could've more harshly grounded you if they later found out you'd lied...
And Crimson, for some reason I'm betting that you asking out every girl at school has something to do with your grounding, seeing as you're in what, sixth grade?
If I had kids, I'd definitely not want them dating that young, if only because they'd make stupid mistakes... Sixth and Seventh graders (at my school, anyways) are tools for attention and 'popularity'...
They're so freaking annoying...

They actually knew what my grades were. They checked them on the computer! I forgot to bring the actual slip of paper home, and I'm grounded for 3 weeks.

Doesn't checking them online make the slip of paper superfluous? :smallconfused:

...Is that... possible?
Though, this depends on your definition of girls.

You're telling me. Stupid school system...:annoyed: :veryannoyed:
And Tired & Drowzy, you think you're not being a bit hard on him. I mean, pull in the claws! I'm a girl, and CA knows me! :smalltongue:

In my opinion, that decision was completely illogical and stupid. Go talk your parents about it and ask them to rethink their punishment.
What happens when you're grounded ? The dictionary definition wasn't very specific.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Well, Falgorn, I'm not saying Crimson is an obnoxious sixth grader... I'm just saying, based on what I've seen from them, I wouldn't think they'd be ready for dating...
Though I'm really not sure. That was all a guess.

Being grounded is punishment, not much happens. I can't have friends over, can't use Inkscape, and can't go on the CPU (Excluding weekends.), and all other fun stuff someone my age could enjoy.
The punishment grounds were, and I quote: "Josh (Me), we're punishing you on the basis of the principle (What?). You forget things too often, and this is why you're punished."
Me: "...Ok...that makes sense."
In theory, my parents just push me too hard with phrases that don't make sense and other parent-y stuffs.
@ Tired & Drowzy: I remember 6th grade, straight 100's in all my classes.
A 103 one marking period... *Sigh.* Good times, good times. I try not too flirt, though. I have a girlfriend friend who is a girl and I have taken to the movies.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
From what I hear, being grounded is just staying in your room all the time.
That would not be much of a punishment though.:smalltongue:

What? Did you skip that year or something?
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Everyone knows 6th graders are obnoxious.:smalltongue: Except for half the sixth graders.

I'm too much of a goody-goody to break rules.
Yeah right, I just don't feel like it.
Wait until May, or have Skimmer or you capture me.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Grounded is one of those punishments that basically does nothing to inhibit the likelihood of crimes at a later date and if anything encourages them by taking away any distractions or entertainment.

..Yes, I suppose it does. I mean, if you count females full stop the count runs up to eleven, but if you narrow it down to "Outside of my family", or "Within ten years of my age, either direction", then yeah, zero.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Wow, I missed a lot... :smallsigh:
...
I'm bored, what should I do?

Offer a girl a kiss, if she says no, wave a hersheys kiss in her face and then laugh at her.

Do you live in a monastery?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Chocobo is Australian, so it's entirely possible civilisation is a good few hours drive away.
Except Syndney.

I'm Australian! And I take exception to that! I live in a sprawling city.

I'm gonna get captured, but in a separate area. Just exclude me from any comics while I try to draw my changing into a gecko. Or possibly a newt. Or a skunk. Or an ermine.

He didn't say all Australians lived out in the desert. He said that it's possible that he may live far from the cities.
