He hasn't eaten in days.
And there wasn't a new strip yesterday!:smallfrown:

Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
Cyrus passed out from hunger; he hadn't eaten in days. And sorry that I didn't update yesterday, but I have several projects and assignments due Monday that are rather important, even if I've already been accepted into college! Update tomorrow morning.

I'm intrigued, what xp-worthy challenges do you expect to overcome in the process of obtaining some basic foodstuffs?

Quest xp. Some DM's use it whenever you do a job, its a way to speed up level progression. Computer games make extensive use of it as well.

Well yes, but this does raise just a couple of questions
1. Who animated the oatmeal? I mean seriously, who does that?
2. Was there really no inanimate food whatsoever? You expect me to believe that the only viable food source has been converted into a tiny gooey engine of death?
Anyway, oatmeal that's been walking around on the floor isn't exactly hygienic.

- who wouldn't animate oatmeal?
- why go for the boring stationary stuff when you can go for the kung-fu glop of awesomeness?
Screw hygiene. I prefer awesome

I'm just saying, that kid looks to be in a pretty serious situation, it could be worthwhile getting him some food that won't run away.
In a less urgent situation I would agree that food is better in the 'engine-of-death' format.

Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
oh right......homeless children raises the question whats happening with the orphanage itself.... I wonder whats happening there that is bad?
-
Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
... I think I'm piecing it all together now.
-
Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
Eek. That's got some pretty bad implications... :smallfrown:
-
Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
Ya. The Orphanage is better than the Church currently. Better take them there...
-
Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
"Please don't die too!" :smallfrown:
That's ... sad.

"...taken care of by the clerics..." then proceed to eek face.
Why did I get a flash of imagery of a Water-smurf story?
Or am I just reading way too much into it.

Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
If Janine's experiences with the church were so bad, what inspired her to join up? :smallconfused:
-
Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
Janine is extremely devout. What happened is...Complicated. I won't reveal explicitly what happened until the prequel, but in Murphy's Law proper I will reveal enough information for you guys to piece it all together. Suffice to say that Janine's past was not filled with sunshine and lollipops. Herpestidae, what's your theory?
-
Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
I'm imagining a mirror of the Altar Boy/ Priest shenanigans of a while back.

Was it filled with moonlight and soda? =D

And a sequel IIRC, yep coffee is really ambitious.

Re: Murphy's Law 6: Will we ever stop burning through threads so quickly?
Coffee has already planned so far ahead and behind of the Murphy’s universe, she is at the point were humans have plains, Dwarves have spaceships, and back to the beginning of time.

I even hinted at this as well.

"Yes my teeth and ambition are bared. BE PREPARED!"
Although, I doubt Coffee sounds like Jeremy irons/Jim cummings.
