I think that most things that are either a world of flipped tropes and cliches or deconstructed tropes and cliches are the tropes and cliches. I personally like works that are known for being the ones that start/follow tropes and cliches. This is probably what got me into the power metal band Twilight Force. Their songs involve a lot of fantasy cliches and buzzwords, and they are known for telling incredibly cheesy high fantasy stories with their songs. Even the lore to their characters (Yes, the band members have their own characters with backstory.) is predictable and I think that's a good thing. At this point, I think that the "worn out tropes" is the breath of fresh air.
