[Elephant Rock]
Ever impulsive, Iknika does lean in for a quick peck on Isaac's lips. Which might feel strange, due to her rather large teeth. Seemingly flustered by what she just did, she pulls back and blushes.
"I'll hold you to that."
[Elephant Rock]
Isaac’s eyes go wide. He doesn’t mind the teeth at all. Hesitantly, but then with conviction, he takes Iknika’s shoulders and pulls her close so they can get that kiss in properly.
Holding seems to be the idea in general.
[Elephant Rock]
Iknika blinks as Isaac pulls her closer, but then she decides to roll with it and kiss him back. She pulls him closer too, and she is quite a bit stronger than she looks.
[Elephant Rock]
Now, this isn't the first kiss for Isaac, but that doesn't really change things. They'll be like that for a while.
Halfway through the cook comes back out, turns on his heel, and goes back into the kitchen.
"Well, am I being a good enough host for the day, then?" he asks with a laugh.
[Elephant Rock]
It's safe to say Iknika didn't so much as notice the cook. She was too distracted for even her sensitive goblin ears to hear the sound of footsteps. She pulls back with a dazed smile and a flushed face, her ears dipping.
"Um. Yes. The best. I'm glad you... I mean... I'd wanted to do it."
[Elephant Rock]
Isaac grins, and gives her a quick hug.
"Well, you can do it whenever you want, trust me." he assures her.
[Elephant Rock]
Regaining her composure, Iknika rests her chin on her hand and narrows her eyes.
"I like the sound of that. And didn't you mention a pool earlier?"
[Elephant Rock]
Isaac nods.
”It’s up in the Monastery. We can see the seamstress, get you something, and burn off this meal heading back up.” he tells her, smiling.
[Elephant Rock]
"Sounds like a plan," Iknika says, slipping off the stool, then grins. "I'd offer to race you, but we shouldn't run after a meal, should we?"
[Elephant Rock]
"All right. We need to see the seamstress and get you a bathing suit though, right?" Isaac asks, pointing to a small, colorful building decorated with drooping fabrics of fanciful colors and exotic patterns.
[Elephant Rock]
"Hm. My parents would throw a fit if they knew I was getting one. So let's do it," she says, reaching out to Isaac with her hand.
[Elephant Rock]
Isaac smiles, and leads her by the hand into the shop.
Although sized with high enough ceilings for the Loxodon folk, the seamstress seems to be an elven matron, sewing together a torn scarf with such grace and skill that one can hardly see the stitches once she's passed them.
"Uh, good afternoon Madam Xhin. Could I ask a favor from you? Iknika needs a bathing suit."
The elf gets up from her desk, smiles at Isaac, though she raises an eyebrow at him mischievously.
"Always bending the rules, our young Chosen." She kneels down before Iknika. "One piece, or two, my dear? I can alter something to your size in a few minutes." she promises the goblin.
[Elephant Rock]
Iknika's ears twitch. She's feeling forward, but not quite as much...
"One piece will do fine, ma'am."
[Elephant Rock]
The woman smiles and pulls out some measuring tape. After some quick measurements she disappears into the back of the store. Iknika is free to look about the place and everything draped around it, but most of it will be too big for her.
Eventually she will emerge with a dark green, slightly frilly thing made of soft, tough material and presents it to Iknika. "Is this to your liking, dear?"
[Elephant Rock]
Iknika does like fancy clothes, even if they're too large for her. She reaches out and takes the suit to examine it.
[Elephant Rock]
The suit is soft, but tough, water-resistant, and not too revealing. It's got a number of fancy embroidery in it, giving it wavy patterns down the sides.
Many of the clothes in the shop are like this. She clearly loves embroidery, with patterns of gold and black thread on many of the pieces, even the pants. Though given the simple life many of the farmers live, a majority is very plain clothes for the large people.
[Elephant Rock]
"It looks pretty great," Iknika says. "Everything here does... shame it's too big for me. Is there somewhere I can try it on?"
[Elephant Rock]
The seamstress smiles and points her to a room in the back. Isaac does not come because that would be uncouth.
Assuming Iknika tries on the outfit she'll find that it fits almost perfectly, which is rather impressive all things considered.
[Elephant Rock]
Iknika turns around to examine the suit this way and that. Impressive. She changes back and walks back to the main store. Hopefully the seamstress wasn't teasing poor Isaac in the meantime.
"It first perfectly, thank you."
[Elephant Rock]
"It should." the seamstress says with a wink, and goes back to her desk.
"I already worked out the paying. C'mon, let's go. Are you ready for a hike?" he asks, as he gestures with his head back up the pale white cliffside.
[Elephant Rock]
"Of course I am. I'd worry more about you," Iknika says, tossing her hair.
[Elephant Rock]
Isaac smiles at her, and they begin the long trek up the cliffs. It's a little grueling, and Iknika might notice how slow Isaac takes it. Maybe it's to keep himself from being winded, or perhaps it's just because he has bad cardio. Either way, even with her shorter stature it should be easy for her to outpace him if she wants to. He doesn't talk much during this part, but also because he's trying to do this properly.
[Elephant Rock]
Iknika decides to be sporting and not outpace Isaac as she was tempted to. She does hum cheerily as they walk, though. Eschelle's training seems to be paying off.
[Elephant Rock]
Isaac leads Iknika back into the temple, and to the large doors they first got to. Producing a little white figurine from his pocket again he unlocks the great metal doors and leads them through a series of rooms and to a huge chamber with great vaulted ceilings and open, ceiling-high arched windows looking out over the town and the surrounding hills. Just as promised, inside the room is a grand bath, with a great pool of flowing warm water. And also a large bureau for linens and such, which Isaac said he stashed his towels and trunks. Reaching inside produces what he promised- only the red, dotted trunks are suspiciously enormous.
"Oh. Right."
[Elephant Rock]
"Ooooh. This place is cool!" Iknika looks around with a big grin... that turns from awe to amusement when she sees the trunks. "Are you going to have to turn into an elephant to take a bath?"
[Elephant Rock]
Isaac blushes, folding his arms in a huff at his own screw-up.
"Um...maybe. I can't ask the Grandmaster to pull me any favors after last time. I don't have to go in." he insists, trying not to look her in the eye.
[Elephant Rock]
Iknika's ears twitch.
"Well, you can just swim as a loxodon, right? I mean, the bath was made for them."
[Elephant Rock]
The water is very deep, which only proves Iknika's point.
Isaac nods slowly. "I mean, yeah. I can. That's why I have the trunks here. It's just, you know..." You know that I can tell you're not as into me when I'm like that goes unspoken.
Still, Isaac's tail flicks in full view, which is all he needs to change.
[Elephant Rock]
"It won't be fair if I get to swim and you just have to sit around on the edge of the pool," Iknika says. "Just go ahead and change. I don't mind."
[Elephant Rock]
"Okay. Um. Turn around, then." he says, embarrassed. With any luck Iknika will let him change clothes, though he has to hold up the oversized trunks with both hands.
"Um, can you pull my tail? It works better if somebody else does it." he says, facing the other direction to hide his blush. This is such a stupid situation to be in.
