The mist is slow to clear as the ship slides through the sea, and it seems that even this far out the sun's rays have little warmth to give. The sound of creaking wood and the muffled splash of water is broken by the occasional comment from a sailor, but as Art said, this does not appear to be a difficult route, and the crew seems in no particular hurry as they carry out their tasks. The gnomes haven't quite gotten tired of glaring at the winged kobold yet, but he seems to have grown bored with them and is watching the sailors work instead. One particularly noisy gull harasses the lookout for a short while - perhaps it fell asleep while the ship was in harbour - but is soon driven off in the general direction of land.
Wildgeist:SpoilerAs you speak with the others, however, you are suddenly aware of a vague winged shape, perhaps the size of a cat, in the mist off to the side of the ship and a little behind. You're not quite sure how long it has been there; you don't have any memory of it coming into view. At the moment, it appears to be keeping pace with the ship, making no move to approach closer.
