Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It's a sub-plot. I call it a mini-arc because it's a mini arc within a mini arc within an overarching plot. Plot-arcception. That's how I roll. :smallcool:
And no, Ahriman isn't supposed to say that. Bad Alakazam! No stealing the reality-destroying eldrich abomination's lines!
Fix'd
As for the image zoom thing, those are all Imageshack links I can all but guarantee you. Because Imageshack is being completely retarted. I used (past tense) Imageshack for comics with file sizes larger than 1 meg but I switched to Imgon.net (which I LOVE) before the zoom-in problem.
I think i'll have to re-upload every comic I uploaded in imageshack. I can re-upload every comic as old as Comic 340. As for anything older...it's a tentative "maybe." Stay tuned for further information.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Ok, another question. Are Crush Opposition and Aetheric Storm actual moves in pokemon? Because they sound like they could be.
Oh, and ask the Custodes: "How well do the Imperial Fists (Terra's space marine chapter) and Adeptus Custodes get along?"
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Crush Opposition and Aetheric Storm are not actual pokemon moves. They are, however, signature moves of Astartes Alakazams and Smugleaves respectively.
Anyways, Comic 540. I TOLD you I had an exit strategy!
Now then, next comic will be Ask the Custodes.

Eh. They do SOUND like Pokemon moves.
*reads*
........................
All I can think of now is the fact that at first I read it as 'Exterminate' in a Dalek voice.
EX-TER-MI-NATE! EX-TER-MI-NATE!! EEEEX-TERR-MIIII-NAAAAAAAATE!!!
EDIT: wait, why is Victor doing the exact same thing in two consecutive panels? is there an actual reason for it I'm missing? :smallconfused:
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Indeed, why is that panel doubled?
Anyway, great conclusion to this awesome miniarc. Let us see how things proceed.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I've seen a few episodes of Dr. Who. I...do not see what people see in it.
So help me Omnissiah, if this thread becomes filled with pleas for me to watch it more, there will be a reckoning. :smallannoyed:
And...yes, that duplicate panel is 540 is unintentional.
Anyways, Ask the Custodes 4: They're Brass Pt. 1
As I sort of anticipated, this'll be another two-parter.
Next comic will be 541

Wow, you actually worked it in.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
A question to the custodes: What is there in the (WH40K) universe that would pose a challenge to those in your order, and why? Not many details are needed. =D

Greater Daemons, Demon Princes, Primarchs, and fellow Adeptus Custodes. (All of the third that may end up fighting a custodes are either dead, incapacitated practically beyond recovery, a demon prince or missing at the moment)
I'm still wondering who among the Custodes has ever fallen to chaos. GK are the only imperial organization that's NEVER had a fall, so it might be interesting to see a custodes do so.
Bad, obviously. But interesting.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Well, I think I have a question for the Custodes. I've seen the Space Marine Apothecaries and their... medical devices... :smalleek:
What is it like for space marines and other soldiers to be 'medically treated' by that thing and have Custodes ever been in need of it as well?

Also Kelbor-Hal, Arik Taranis, Eldrad, Malagor the Sigilight, Drago (by all rights this guy should be dead), Avatars of the Eldar Gods (Though those things are basically greater deamons anyway) and Vect.

Malagor's dead (assuming I'm thinking of the right person), I don't know a whole lot about Eldrad except he's from Ulthwe and I don't know who any of the rest of those are. But if we're going to talk about Avatars (only one kind of which I know actually exists) we might as well include the actual chaos gods :smalltongue:
@Starsign: Someone correct me if I'm wrong: Apothecaries only treat other space marines (they're specialists, they only can treat space marines. Like how a doctor can treat a human but not... oh, say a puppy. They could guess, but since they don't know precisely how the other's body works...), and that particular device is the Emperor's Peace - euthanasia applies to the temple for a marine who's going to die but is doing it slowly.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Kelbor was the head of the Admech during the Heresy. He apparently survived and then did nothing for 10k years. (This is actually quite common)
Arik was the head of the thunder warriors and survived the culling (after the conquest of Earth the big E turned on the thunder warriors and had them effectivly wiped out, presumably by the Custodes) and then gained immortality during the heresy then dropped off the grid.
Eldrad is the most powerful Eldar pysker. Widely considered a jerk.
Drago is a super special grey knight paladin.
Vect is the head of the Dark Eldar.

Yeah, pretty much more-or-less this. I have absolutely no idea who Malagor the Sigilight is. There's Malcador the Sigillite, but he only got to 200 years. 300 tops.
Remember, I can't get to all of your questions at once. I would like to eventually get to at least most of them.
Also, I should let you in on one of my plans: As fellow members of the 10,000 Years Old Club, Brother-Custodian Sereyentheous is giving each of the 4 Chaos Champions a comic in Ask the Custodes, each one corresponding to the sacred number of their respective God.
So Ask the Custodes 6 will be hosted by Lucius the Eternal
AtC 7: Typhus the Traveler
AtC 8: Kharn the Betrayer
AtC 9: Ahriman the....guy who doesn't get a title
And just to make it fair, AtC 10 will be given to Abaddon the Despoiler.
You can direct your questions or commands to one or any of the Champions, but bear in mind they will only be able to answer one question.
ANYWAYS...Comic 541

Not to be that guy... actually, yes to be that guy:
You misspelled "derogatory". Panel 3.

... You know you have suffered an awesome overdose when you see that and your first thought is disappointment that it wasn't Wyzen's continent-sized finger of doom. :smalltongue:
Also, ha! Powers has been snubbed.

That was intense. I'm astonished.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I was actually very close to doing just that, unfortunately I remembered that that would set off the bomb. Because continent-sized fingers of doom don't explode.
And you have to admit, only a Primarch could stop something like a continent-sized finger brought down by a planet-sized demigod :smallamused:
Ask the Custodes 4: They're Brass part 2 is up. You can see why it takes so long to make.

I like the Blood Ravens :smallfrown: They helped inspire my Eclipse Hawk's color scheme... with one color, but still
Also: what's that painting on the Angry Marine's ship of?
Also, do you take Ponytar requests? Because that is an awesome Space Mareine Changeling.
(Also for a third time: I just spotted a feature of part 1. Someone's legs are sticking down a panel)

Well you know how to bring us new things to ask the Custodes. I'm still sticking with the last one I mentioned however :smalltongue:

What Angry Marine ship? I didn't draw an Angry Marine ship.
Take a closer look at the insignias.
And yes I do take requests, but by PM only. Usually. Feel free to shoot me a request.
And I can't believe I didn't upload that fix. I noticed it a long time ago and fixed it, but never uploaded it.
Oh well, fixed.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
For ask the chaos champions:
Arhiman: did you guys get mad when you realized that it was Horus and not the Emprah that sicked the space yiffs on you?
For any: what has Kalbor been doing for the past 10k years anyway?
What really happened to Dorn? The official story has him dieing on a class of ships that were designed in the 36th millennium, sound fishy to me.
Failbaddon: Horus killed a primarch and put the Emprah in a reccord breaking coma. You have done neither. Do you ever feel inadequate?

The Mechanicum doesn't 'design', they find. :smalltongue:

The Mechanicum has considered innovation heresy against the machine-god since the days of the Horus Heresy, and before.
No, seriously. The novel 'mechanicum' Spoiler
Show
shows pretty clearly that the last person in the mechanicum to try and innovate and create new machines dies during the heresy, and her greatest creation (a machine which literally grants infinite knowledge) destroyed by lava.

It's a warhammer story. Like we don't know it's gonna end that way :smalltongue: Besides, i kept the details secret, and left out the 'main' plotline.

Sorry, but the class of ship he died on, the despoiler class battleship, was clearly designed in the 36th millennium, based of an older design.
