Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I never noticed that Blackwing's text bubble actually says "Whisper" over and over again.
-
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
In that same thread, I did not notice the change in Belkar's emotion to V's statement. Namely that Belkar was pleased with V admitting that it was wrong to try to blow Belkar up.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Same comic, last 3 panels:
Panel 1:
Roy=plain face
Elan=plain face
Haley=plain face
Belkar= :smallannoyed:
Panel 2:
Roy=:smallconfused:
Elan=plain face
Haley=plain face
Belkar=:smallmad:
Panel 3:
Roy=:smallannoyed:
Elan=plain face
Haley=:smallconfused:
Belkar=:smallamused:
I honestly didn't notice the facial progression of those characters. And the fact Elan is completly unphased.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I never noticed this strip was called "A dragon's victory"
-
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I didn't notice the tower breaking off in the last panel of 466
It does give Xykon's "I don't suppose we kept the receipt?" more context.

Heh, I remember reading that title when the strip came out. It had fooled me there nicely.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
The demon roaches in the last panel.
The second-to-last row of 393 didn't make much sense to me until I realized that Nale was saying "very, very angry" and "angry enough to kill, even", not Elan.
There's loads more, but I can't think of it right now.

Huh, it is? :smallconfused:
-
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Yeah. In the first panel of the second-to-last row, Nale says "Doesn't that make you so angry!" and casts the Suggestion spell. In the next two panels, he's encouraging the suggestion that Elan is angry enough to kill Hailey. (Hailey's insecurityself loathing is the one speaking the slightly fainter bubbles with no tails)

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
The title of Strip 634.
Strip 744. What's with Kilkil in the first panel?
Last panel of 757. Could that be Tarquin's fifth wife?
And this is a question: When V turns into a lizard, hir headband thingy retains its shape, but when V switches hairstyles, it's easily used as a ponytail holder. (My brother tells me A Wizard Did It, but...)
EDIT:

It seems to be drawn several times thicker, so possibly it's a flexible type of headband, and V doubled it over several times a la traditional hair ties.
Or it's a Headband of Intellect, which theoretically could shrink down to the size where it can be used as a hair tie.

That is weird - it looks like he's turning and grinning at the audience.

I think he's just talking to the person on his right. I don't think we've ever seen an OotS character drawn directly side-on so that only one eye is visible, have we? Maybe the art style doesn't work well that way, so the Giant had to draw Kilkil with both eyes visible.

How about your avatar?

OK, a *humanoid* OotS character that's been drawn side-on so only one eye is visible? :smallmad:

As for the second strip, maybe. I think it's just the sheer amount of gold reflecting in his eyes as a way to underscore the "ooooo, shiny," but I could be wrong.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I, until recently, never noticed that Haley hasn't said 'Tee hee!' in 650 strips.

One I only picked up on when I bought a copy of DStP: orcs have blue tongues.

Nope. See panel 7, where BW's eyes are colored normally.

Tarquins great axe has runes on it in brown color. He would of cours have a magical weapon:smallamused:

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I never noticed before in this comic until i came back a second time, and realized that one of the names on the macebook page, is KOTOR. Keeping in mind that the priest is named Malack....
(The sith in Knights of the Old Republic, KOTOR, is named Malak.)

Yes, his eyes are indeed normally colored in panel 7. As are his feet and the phylactery, both of which are discolored (as his eyes are) in panels 10 and 12. I fail to see how this refutes my argument in any way.

In strip 610, I never noticed the sound effect for Crystal cutting Haley's hair. (It's in the panel just before. I guess I was too busy reading speech bubbles.)

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
And I never noticed the dead parrot
