Right now, probably not. But that might change, and there are other clerics who might do it as well. For context, I expect another 60 strips or so in this arc, so plenty of time for a change of heart on Hilgya's part.

Staying in Hel and refusing resurrection would make Durkon miserable and shirk his duty.

I'll up you one:
5. Wouldn't it be great if Durkon was judged to have died honorably, goes to Valhala, then returns when resurrected because of his duty, helps save the world from Hel and Xykon, and then dies of Sphinx Pox along with the rest of the party, being forever damned to Hel.

Assuming nobody makes their saving throws. Assuming Mr. Scruffy didn't make his saving throw against the initial outbreak. It wouldn't be the first time Hel had gloated prematurely about a victory, after all.
Re: Money for Durkon's Resurrection
See, that's the thing about the Sphinx Pox - with the amount of time the PC's have had cure light/moderate/etc. wounds thrown on them, wouldn't some of that have cured the Sphinx Pox?
Re: Money for Durkon's Resurrection
Only Remove Disease and Heal cure diseases as far as I know, off the top of my head. Besides, that would have to be targeted at Mr. Scruffy particularly. Right now he's the only one with the disease, it's still incubating for several more weeks.
Re: Money for Durkon's Resurrection
The most potent diseases sometimes need a Remove Curse, if I remember correctly, or maybe even worse.

True, for magical diseases. My point was, Cure [Anything] Wounds has no effect on disease as far as the rules go.
Re: Money for Durkon's Resurrection
Too bad Roy missed his shot at Miko. Partying with a paladin is a pain, but I like to keep one on hand for just such occasions.
Re: Money for Durkon's Resurrection
Luckily they're heading straight towards two of them outside Kragor's Tomb.
