Where am I?
Issue 104: He can't quote Valve
Fun fact: These templates for Cortez and Meanman, as well as the templates I used for Tony and Claude, were some of the first templates I ever made for the comic (even before I came up with the idea of The Playground).
"Unforeseen consec...conqeq...bad stuff"
Made me laugh for some odd reason that he had to revert to bad stuff.
Issue 105: It's a very important Aesop
Minor retcon present in this strip. Originally, Ace said Lucas was going to enter with Tony. Lucas was Claude's original name, but after I made the strip, I decided to change it to make another joke about GTA.
So, in order to make the whole thing make sense, I changed a character who probably won't ever appear's name; then came up with the idea that this character was originally going to come with Tony, but wasn't online, so Ace quickly messaged Claude who came in his stead,
This is so funny!
One wonders why criminal organizations even bother making deals.
Hey, is this still going? I hope it's not dead. It's a great comic, and I haven't even appeared yet.
I think they have deals do they can quickly decare gang wars :smalltongue:.
Oh, there you are! When's the next comic coming?
It'll be out on Monday.
Issue 106: Youtube!
A wild Bonus strip approaches!
Review of New Vegas
A youtube series? "Let's Play: Omnitopia?"
A few dozen strips ago (might be slightly less then that) Maxios mentioned he was going to make a Youtube video showing what happened at the beginning of the server (he accidently started capturing a video when he joined the server, and decided it shouldn't go to waste).
For this strip, I screen capped a youtube video, pasted it into MSPaint, and editted it, then copy pasted the editted version into Inkscape.
Cool!
Issue 107: The popcorn isn't that filling
Issue 108: Something like that once happened to me in Minecraft
Issue 109: Underneath the helmet, he's sticking his tongue out at Druid
From Unforeseen Consquences to Power Armor. I'm surprised it isn't orange.
Also any info on where I am at the moment.
Issue 110: He's really hoping he fails
Fun fact: The yellow suitcase that the armor was housed in had the words "Screw you Stark" on it.
He kind of looks like a Goblin Ninja sans ears in that power armour, now that I think about it. :smalltongue:
You know, i have a story to tell you.
Once upon a time, about 4 years ago, superdark and his brother played Travian.
It seemed good back then...
but it was only good for the 1 day begginers protection.
then, disaster.
No-lifer travian gamers started assulting the small towns, and ruined all hope to achive somthing in the game.
then, alliance.
nice no-lifer-gamers assisted the newbies, and fended off the attackers.
then, superdark and his brother quit the game.
The moral of the story?
The solotion for annoying noobs is pvp and no lifers.
The omnitopia server has a person who would do ANYTHING to get that new spell.
His name is Superdark "noobs-B-gone" Emmit 'suspiecous' quincy!
Issue 111: Smash Maxicoot
Milo, you're fighting off some noobs.
Issue 112: The Reason you Suck speech
Issue 113: The armor also has a built in crayon
One of the hallmarks of a great badass is the ability to defeat a foe just by talking.
Examples: The Man in Black, Nigel Powers, the Dovahkiin (technically he is talking people to death.
Makes you wonder what the purpose of the armour was. :smalltongue: Still, I wouldn't argue with someone who wins without attacking. That was impressive.
That speech was kind of cool, but......
He seems to not understand the point of a video game (Especially an RPG). The idea of roleplaying out a situation. Yes they spent days looking for a server, does that make it any different then Maxios himself spending days creating said server? They are both in the spirit of the game, and if he is to say that if you dedicate your time that much to a game makes you into a no lifer then he would ALSO be a no lifer, as would alot of the main contributors to the community.
As for walking around with nothing on, again it's a video game. Dieing in there doesn't equal dying in real life, so people could suicide charge into a crate of TNT and just shrug it off before either respawning or just making a new character. I wouldn't call it arrogance to try and pull off a job without brute force, he's done this kind of thing before from what you've written and hasn't had to really fight his way through people. Not resorting to violence because he doesn't find it necessary (Which is exactly what Maxios did) and not needing violence because he thinks he can trounce anyone are very different things.
Lastly, for the leaving the server and going somewhere else part. Yes he could do that but then what would really be the point in that? That would just promote people to give up on things when they have to devote time to it, causing a ceaseless ocean of people starting servers and abandoning them when work is needed. When a imaginary economy is made and imaginary cities are made they are made for the purpose of enhancing the game and adding more factors to things. It allows for more realism and also opens up for immersive roleplaying and things to do. If it were just a plain old server where people just built towns then jobs and things to do would be basic. But when you throw in money, debt, crime, and raiding other servers alongside said building things then it gets more interesting. Now you have people making weapons, forming mercenary guilds, enforcer trying to get extortion money, people building hide outs and forward bases to invade other severs, and raiding parties to form up and plan out how to break into and loot other servers. Now everyone has something to do, and there are so many new opportunities that allow for more people to come in and expand the server. Now, some would say that doing stuff like this for a while would be becoming a "no lifer" but it is all in the sake of fun and enjoyment, since it is a game. The thrill of competition between two guilds, trying to claim the others turf and pump out weapons to due so, the puzzles of trying to break through other server's defences Mission Impossible style, and countless more.
But it is your comic so if you wanted to you could just have them all be no lifer nerd ragers anyway.
Maxios is just annoyed his hat got shot and he got a black eye :smalltongue:.
Also, he left because if he didn't, Maxios would've reported him to Baxter Studio; and Tony really doesn't want to get banned.
Ah, the Banhammer. Never was so mighty a weapon so widely feared.
Issue 114: The server can hold a lot more people then originally thought
